Does anyone know why Ben Coridas hasn't been given a run in the 'tahs S14 side? He has been in the squad for a few years now and played for the JWs but hasn't cracked the big time. Training / off-field issues or hasn't done enough for JWs?
Had a shoulder recon in the latter half of last season and seemed to be out of favour a bit this season with the JWs. Spent a lot of time on the bench and not much time on the field. I don't think there are any training/ off-field issues, in fact it seems that he is a pretty hard worker. Might give away a few too many penalties, though.
I would give him the benefit of the doubt and see what he does in club footy this year. I don't think we have heard the last of him. He is still only 21, has a great build and a lot of aggression.

Ben Coridas is injured again that is why he isn't playing for Eastwood or being considered for the Tahs.
He has had a bad run of injuries since being injured playing for the Western Sydney Rams in the ARC.
Getting back to the Highlanders game one thing that concerns me is that the Tahs dont seem to have an attacking plan B.
They persist with having two so called playmakers at 10 and 12 even when Friday nights conditions cried out for a 12 who could hit the ball up and get the attack on the front foot. Thats one thing that Carter can do well but with Barnes continually kicking he never got to see the ball at 13.
When they made the change in the backs they still played the two playmakers moving Beale ,who was having a good game at fullback ,into 12 and bringing on Anesi at fullback with Barnes shifting to 10. In other words no change in plan just in personnel.

I don't understand the choice of Thompson on the bench if he is leaving, we have Jowitt & Roudt hanging about who are, why start the guy off the France?

You're not the only one baffled by that one FP. Not only Jowitt and Roodt but Caldwell as well.
