Reports in today's Canberra Times suggest that Gene Fairbanks is keen on making a return to the ACT Brumbies in 2011.
Fairbanks was in Canberra to attend Julian Salvi's wedding over the weekend and said that he wanted to return to Australia to play Super rugby and that returning to the Brumbies was his preferred option but would also consider playing with the new Melbourne team in 2011.

This on top of Julian Huxley in negotiations with doctors and the Brumbies about making a return in 2011..did someone say World Cup?

Correct me if I'm wrong guys but I've heard more than one person say Fairbanks has some Victorian in him.

Any proof to the rumour? If it IS true it would be great to see him playing for the Rebs.

Why would the Brumbies sign him? (Unless of course they are going to lose a few players next season...)

Logjam of inside backs at 10 or 12:
To'omua
Lealiifano
Giteau
T. Smith

A) Andy Friend loves him
B) To'omua could leave
C) Lealiifano could leave
D) Mortlock could leave (moving T Smith to 13)
