Clearly Smith knew about this award hence the big effort against Wales. Glad to hear you got the chip kick comment in :lmao:

Did Smith know of this web site?

That's brilliant well done fellas, Go Green & Gold Rugby.

Surely Green & Gold Rugby player of the year award is the ultimate accolade amongst the players considering we are the genuine diehards.

Fantastic that he finally achieved it before his career inevitably begins to wind down. Actually, it's possible he may retire now. It's all downhill from here after all.

BTW Gagger I'd be interested to know who let go of the plate first after the pose in your avatar. Was there a tussle?

looks like pocock could hardly hold it with his left hand. i think his digits weren't so flash after all his pilfering work.

I once popped a mate's finger back in after a dislocation ... on the 3rd attempt. Ouch. It looked like this, palm down:

Well, I guess he does now!

My biggest fear was that post interview the award might have got screwed up and put in the bin within eyesight, but he actually asked if he could have the plastic sheath I'd brought it down in.

Can just imagine him clearing John Eales medals out of the way now.....

Smith is one of the genuine good guys. He does a lot of stuff for schools and clubs around Manly.

One for the scrapbook, not the scrapheap.

Next year can we stretch the budget a bit? How about minting a small medal? Something from a trophy shop?

We should find some sort of trophy dude and get a medal emblazoned proudly with G&GR.

What's say we also poll Aussie players for S14 games next year?

Nice to see he's got a worth cause linked to his moniker as well.

Still, another clear ripoff with Robinson not even polling!

Impressive Gagger. Awarding the players with a mini trophy - custom made for G&GR would be great. It could become a cult award and quite presitgious in years to come. :yay

Exactly.

We all know that Robinson is probably the 1st player on the teamsheet & for two reasons.
1. He wears number 1
2. He's probably the best player in the nation. 1st time in my life I've seen NH props shit scared of an Aussie prop.

'Tis glorious. And the great news is, the depth is finally starting to emerge since Eddie the Bleedin Awful almost killed the scrum:

Top rank: Robinson, Moore, Alexander
2nd rank: Dunning, TPN, Baxter
3rd rank: Holmes, Freier, Shepherdson

I like it.

Kepu and Palmer look pretty interesting, too.

I'm tipping Palmer as maybe possibly being something.

Good to see you're not sitting on the fence at all. Bold, decisive leadership! :huxley

Scarfy is a Beazley style leader - everyone loves him, but discipline and decisions with the acuity of a damp bit of celery.
And no, Scarfy, I'm comparing personalities here, not girth! ;)
