Breaches of the rules will be handled by the Mod Team.

Force back in action at home after a frustrating tour to the Republic and a much needed bye to recover. Hopefully Hodgo is back with a call to arms and get this team fired up. Interesting job at the selection table for Foley with Koteka showing some real promise over in SA and deserving of a spot on the bench if the skipper is good to go. Thats the real skipper I mean not Wykes!

The Burton Godwin 12/13 combo showed some promise but I would still like to see Godwin at 12 with Junior at 13 or if the Badger doesn't get any service on the wing stick him at 13 and give Mitch Scott a start on the wing.....which he deserved on merit prior to missing the tour to SA.

If Wykes maintains his starting spot I'd expect to see his performance lift with the captaincy burden removed. Coleman continues to show great development and if he stays consistent and puts in some big performances he might just get the nod for a gold jumper.

This game always annoys me. In years where we have been higher on the table, they still seem to be able to get it to get it over us.

I'm thinking we will finish this year with 4 wins. To get to that we need this one, the Blues and the Reds games.

I'm also thinking its about time Foley came in for some scrutiny. But we'll have to see what Hodgo adds to the team and assess from there.

Hodgo was on Twitter yesterday saying:

"First day back training with the boys. It was only for one drill, but it still felt great to be momentarily out of Team Rehab. Small steps but heading in the right direction. Not long until I'll be back. Trying not to get to excited too early".

Playing Saturday????

From the sounds of that tweet, it doesn't sound like he's back for the Cheetahs. I can't imagine he'll player after 1.1 training sessions.

He said in this mornings West Australian newspaper that he wanted to get a full week of training under his belt before making the call on playing. If he plays you would think he'd be a touch underdone so might come off the bench for a 40 minute cameo. Kane Koteka (or Alcock) can come on and add some energy.

Saturday looks like a few showers so could even things up.

Per Force member email below:
Fullback Dane Haylett-Petty will return to the Force starting line-up for the 10th season anniversary match against the Cheetahs this Saturday, 11 April. Haylett-Petty returned from a six-week foot injury off the bench against the Sharks, two weeks ago. On Saturday he will start in the ‘15’ jersey with Luke Morahan to start on wing.

Head Coach Michael Foley says the match is an important occasion for both the team and club.

"We're excited about returning home and starting the second half of our season," he said. "Having six of our final nine matches at home provides an opportunity to display the character of the team as we strive to move our game up a level.

"While aspects of our performances against the Sharks and Bulls were pleasing, we know combining passages of good play into wins comes down to our attitude to retain and recycle quick ball at the breakdown and physicality in defence.

I'm a bit surprised (and disappointed) that Sias is the run-on 10. Unless its really just a horses-for-courses thing - wet weather and a SA opponent?

This is the match marking the official 10th Anniversary of the Force. Looks like the weather could be dodgy tomorrow. If the Force lose this game and its a kick fest the fans will be mightily PISSED OFF!

At least I get my name in the match day program as one of the approx 2,900 inaugural members still remaining. I knew my membership would payoff in the long run......would of preferred a few more wins over the years :D

ditto re name in match day programme.
goal kicking could be crucial in this game--& it is becoming our achilles heel

Read somewhere it was about 2900. Like the headline in the West this morning. "Keep the birthday cake, give us a win". If that ain't the truth in this 10th year! Forget the bells and whistles new jumpers etc just go out and belt them.

What a well worked set piece move.

Meat pie for Morahan.

Conversion is good for Force to take the lead 7 - 5.

Not a bad start Force but they need to ditch the black part on the sides of those shorts. From behind they look like they are wearing their undies on the outside.

Just saw a slow-mo repeat of that hit Charles did, smash!

Chris Alcock gets meat pie from rolling maul off the back of a lineout.

Force 15-8 after Burton misses conversion.

What a proud way to mark 10 years. Wykes is useless as Captain and needs to be stripped before next game. He dogged it on the Cheetahs turnover loosing ground to a prop and didn't even chase the next receiver. Played the whole game that's bullshit! I keep going on about Mitch Scott on the wing.....as BA from the A Team would say...PLAY THE FOOL!

In hindsight, last years results were an anomaly. Hodgson did the impossible and lead from the front. Dragging the team to wins they probably shouldn't/wouldn't expect to normally win.

The sad truth is that we are about 5 quality players away from being a finals contention team.

But I take heart from the quality players we are developing in Godwin, Burton, Coleman and Koteka. If we can keep those locals and build a good nucleus around those guys there is hope for the future.
