So we know there are players who are simply too inexperienced for a Lions call, but how about the EOYT? Who are the players that we want to be experienced come 2015 but also don't want to throw to the Lions?

Eg. Kyle Godwin, looks the goods to be future Wallaby 12 but no way in hell is he being thrown to the Lions or being put up against a Black jersey this year.

Henry Speight is probably good enough already, just needs to bide his time. Matt To'omua might get into the squad sooner, but if not he should be there.

Neville went on last years EOYT.
Salesi Manu seems to have dropped off the radar.at the Force. Is he injured?

Heath Tessman (FOR)

Fairly sure Neville wasn't on last year's EOYT. He joined a few Wallaby squad training sessions at home but that was about all (happy to be shown otherwise, though).

Salesi Manu is off the radar but is still on only an EPS contract. Looked to be a good prospect and will probably do another season of ITM and, on Ma'afu's departure, be fully back for the Force.

+ 1 for Hugh Pyle. His lineout work has come along in leaps and bounds this year and he's solid all around the park.

Neville and Mitch Inman were added to the squad to cover the loss of Simmons and McCabe.

Okay, so he did break the cherry, you're right.

If we are planning on sending all these n00bs again this year then it would be good if they got some game time.

They should bring back a few dirt-tracker matches instead of just having 4 tests like last time.

Look at the All Blacks v Scotland game, they had quite a few newcomers and performed well.

As a sort of future-wallabies team, imagine
Sio, Hanson, Ryan, Pyle, Carter, Cottrell, Gill, Auelua, White, Foley, Tomane, Godwin, Inman, Crawford, Mogg

(Not that I am advocating we throw this team against Scotland - We've struggled against them enough over the last four years).

I'm guessing we won't have a big tour due to budget contraints but it would be nice to take over a large touring party and have some more midweek fixtures to blood new players.

There are a lot of guys who are there or there abouts in terms of the Wallabies in the next couple of years and it would be good to give as many of them as possible some touring experience.

Australia have a 4 game tour England, Italy, Ireland and Scotland in that order. No midweek games have been announced yet, given the lack of options in Italy for a midweek game we may see one in the latter 2 week period of the tour against an Irish province.

Have you got dates for the tour or know where I can find them? Thinking I might follow the tour.

Wonder if we will see a 12. Godwin 13.CFS center pairing at some point.

I'd say that eventually we'll see it. I can't imagine it will be that soon though.

Godwin and CFS are both excellent talents but there's suddenly a fair bit of depth at 12 with Lilo, Tapuai, Horne and McCabe and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) has a mortgage on the 13 jersey whilst he remains healthy.

John Thornett (49)
It will be a good combination if both players continue to trend upwards in their development. CFS has an ideal athletic profile for 13 and is very good at bumping off players to get into space. Godwin runs like greased lightning and is a blast to watch.

Cheers for that, I might start looking into it. Italian Dolce Vite and Irish Craic sound like a great combination. Especially with some Ales at one end and whiskey at the other.

Do not kid yourself that we have the depth to even attempt such a move.

Please refer to Munster in 2010, Samoa in 2011 and Scotland in 2012 for proof.
