Apparently Elsom and Friend had a huge "disagreement" in front of the whole team recently. All is not well.

Player power? Why did Deans appoint Elsom as Wallaby captain then? Or is Friend just shite?

Without having any idea as to what might have gone on, it would be hard to be the Aus captain and be playing second fiddle to Hoiles, or indeed the rubbish game plan. Would have had the same problem at the Tahs I suspect.
I blame Gits!! :)

If Elsom has that big an ego then just take the captaincy off him, He is our best six by far but his form since coming back would only suggest either his heart isnt in it or the european cup is of a much lower standard.

The guy got an early release from the Tahs with a sob story and said he would come back in a year or two, then he came back and said he wanted to live i brisbane and the reds were the only team he was talking to, the tahs didnt hold him to his word and he pissed off to brumbies town, if he is trying to run things there friend should just tell him to have fun in melbourne next year, it would be good for everyone all round.

dude needs to pull his finger out and have form on the field that justifies the head.

Vote 1 Genia for Wallaby captain.

Why was Elsom appointed. He was the only one for the job at the time. Not any more.

Welcome to Melbourne Mr. Elsom

Is it necessary to be welcomed to one's place of birth? In my book Rocky joining the Rebels is akin to going home.

Elsom is probably looking at the Reds, and realising he could be playing for them right now had he not made the last minute decision to go to the Brumbies. Does he have a clause in his contract to get out after 1year? God this professional footy players are a fickle bunch. Like little girls and get upset easily, wanting everything to be perfect. Why don't they actually be professional and try and resolve these workplace problems

i remember at the time that Elsom rejected the Reds, he apparently had a few things to say about some of the players in the team, apparently he said a few people like Adam Byrnes shouldnt be in the team

Reds seem to have a real close knit team that i dont think there is room for someone like Rocky and his ego

agree TOCC.

The story goes is wanted a say in selection, starting with the squad. he wanted Byrnes and Humphries cut.

I hope one of them drops him this Saturday. I also hope Higgers plays out of his skin and puts him in his place.

Last year when he came back and the ARU rolled out the red carpet for his return threw him straight into the tri nations side without making him do his time in club rugby, contributing somthing to the Australian rugby system to prove himself worthy of end of year tour selection. No wonder why the bloke has an ego. Thank you ARU for making this bloke bigger than the game. I can honestly say I seen this comming a mile away.

He has not been the best 6 in the country this year and lets see if the selectors have the balls not to select him.

I really can't believe how often people here seem to jump on the smallest tidbit of information, make up their own story to go along with it, and proceed to crucify the player. It's really just bitchy.

Isn't that what 50 percent of every forum is? Bitching.

When I saw the title of the thread I thought "that's nice. Rocky and Andy have formed a pair for double sculls".
