Maybe.

Giteau is probably the smallest bloke in the Australian conference but you have to start somewhere.

I'm pretty sure he took on McCaw a couple of times last week with the ball in hand. Didn't try and step him, just smashed it up into him.

He might be starting to like contact!

...And to stop doing his ridiculous clawing motion when he tries to go around the shoulders.

pics or it didn't happen!

I did see it, but Cooper also got shrugged off a couple of times as well. One tackle does not a corner make.

Reds fans can only hope Quade's tackling has improved for the best over the next few weeks with all those damned injuries.

Thought Cooper was offside by a mile but always like to see a good hit. Don't think he rocked Giteau that much though.

Really don't care how offside he was! Cooper smashed someone!

Seen it before haven't we? Smashed Morne Steyn from memory? I also saw him clean out a ruck and drive out Luke Watson in impressive style.

There appeared to be very little policing of staying onside on the weekend, on both sides.

I thought Coopers defense over the past couple of weeks has come along. From memory last weekend Quade made a tackle, got up into the Pillar position and stopped Squeaky in his tracks when he tried a pick and go.
