Pity he is not heading to the Tahs. Good on him though, and good luck with Stade

DPK, not a fan of Friend?

Hmm wouldnt go that far, im just curious how he cant get such a good group of players like that firing after 5 games. But I also know next to nothing about Cheika, so... yeah.

Has it occurred to you that it might be the players who can't get the players firing?

He's gotta shoulder some of the blame, man. If Hickey gets blamed for the Tah's shit, then Friend should get some of the blame for the Brumbies.

He chose not to be bummed by kafer or Jeremey paul so he was never a chance.

but on a ligher note the Brumbies should be chasing gaffney if anyone.

Totally different situations. The Brumbies are well selected and have the correct game plans but are let down by players' lack of commitment, poor execution and not working together. The Tahs are poorly selected and have no game plan. The blame attributable to the coach is vastly different.

Friend also did a better job with the Brumbies last year than Hickey did with the Tahs.

Depends on what you want to agree and disagree about. :)

I would not agree that the Brumbies are all well selected (number 10 for starters, and the captain, not to mention Old Morty over previous weeks, but you forgive that due to history and legend status), and the game plan at times is not that flash.
Nothing is as dire as rotten kernel at the core of the Waratahs.

Given the tragic events with the passing of Mackay, he did a great job and commands a lot of respect in my view.

The problem with the brumbies is too many chiefs and not enough indians.

Friend should never have given Hoiles the captaincy I thought Salvi was playing better when he was at 8.

To me Hoiles was never a certain starter so the captaincy should have been given to Mortlock or Smith.

IF Cheika wants to be the next Wallaby coach (maybe he doesn't but its the Everest for Aussie coaches) I reckon there are two paths. One is to put perennial underperformers Stade on top of French rugby and keep them there till Deans goes home and then return home as the best overseas Aussie coach ever. The other is to come back to the Tahs and win the S15 with them. It looks to me like either the Tahs said no thanks or he thought that was a bridge too far. His biggest risk is that MacQ might get a taste for it again.

Oh to know what really happened! Can't do a thing about it I guess.

PS. I don't rate Nucifora's chances. The only time his team performed, he wasn't really in charge. Decent bloke but a less than good judge of talent.
