How much did Ch 9 pay for the Australian Rugby Union rights?

Probably not much given that, historically, rugby doesn't attract big audiences.

If so, that's not much for 5 years. And the FTA rights were being sold by Fox Sports and not the ARU? Or am I misreading that. I can't believe the ARU would have sold the FTA rights to Fox Sports in a bundle. Anyway, rugby is getting little benefit out of 9 with its delayed coverages.

From my understanding Fox bought all the rights and on sold them to 9. I presume fox offered more if they had the exclusive rights.
