Kiap, better to say that their defensive patterns were better in the first 40 and the Crusaders as Blackadder indeed said in the after game interview, were feeling them out and then stepped it up in the second half. The Brumbies had no answers to the flaws that the Crusaders "felt out" in the first 40.
3. Palmer. Robbie won't pick him but he's the only Aussie THP not to crumble so far.
Appears that the depression of their reality is hitting home. Even Marto and Horan said in commentary after the Rebels game that the Brumbies look the worst in the Oz conference.
At the time I thought that the harsh YC was a turning point for the Brumbies, but they would have been outclassed anyway. They should've been able to keep the margin closer, however, with the players they've got.
The yellow card wasn't harsh, it was just 100% wrong. The close up showed Gits did not touch the ball and Ellis just fumbled it. Although the Crusaders are playing awesome football, they are also getting 100% hometown decisions. I wish the assessors reports were public documents, just to see if its a refs problem or a refs plus adjudicators problem.
