Reg, you have both Pulu and Lolesio listed as unsigned but with the existing contract expiring in 2020. I don't know their respective statuses, but they might have to be relocated to the squad list.

There have been a couple of recent announcements regarding U20s who have been signed. Will look them up and get back.

Sorry Reg, have searched but can't find the relevant articles. From memory, I think there were two signings, a No 10 and perhaps a No 7. Both might have been out of schoolboys, can't remember the specifics.

Interesting to note that McKellar, Fisher and Hewat have all re-signed.

He comes down next year..........

Exciting Australian Schoolboys and U18 international talent Reesjan Pasitoa has agreed to join the Plus500 Brumbies in 2020 following the completion of his studies at Nudgee College in Brisbane.

Christian Lealiifano weighs up his Brumbies future as overseas clubs come knocking
The inspirational leader is understood to have attracted offers from France, Ireland and Japan, while the Brumbies are keen to keep him and offered him a new deal in February.

The skipper will deliberate in the background, but the Brumbies are already making moves to build a strong squad for 2020 and beyond. Those moves include:
  • Adding NSW flanker Will Miller to their roster as a No. 7 option while David Pocock considers his playing future;
  • Back-rower Tom Cusack set to sign a two-year contract extension with the club in the coming weeks;
  • Giant youngster Nick Frost signing a two-year deal to help fill the second-row void left by departing pair Rory Arnold and Sam Carter;
  • Scrumhalf Nic White likely to return to Canberra after agreeing to an Australian rugby deal to emerge as a World Cup bolter.
The Brumbies are also working with Matt Lucas and Lachlan McCaffrey in the hope they will re-sign, while the injured Pocock is yet to make a decision on whether he will stay in Australia after the World Cup.

If Nic is back at the Brumbies, and both Joe and Ryan Lonergan are on the books for next year, wouldn't Matt Lucas be superfluous?

Brumbies sign Len Ikitau and Noah Lolesio as stars of the future
Lolesio and Ikitau are expected to sign new contracts on Thursday, with Australian under-20s playmaker Lolesio to be elevated to the full-time squad for the first time.

But veterans Christian Lealiifano and David Pocock are yet to make a public announcement about their respective futures as they weigh up whether to stay Canberra or to move their careers abroad after the World Cup this year.

Teenager Lolesio is regarded as the club's flyhalf of the future and he will team up with schoolboy sensation Reesjan Pasitoa next year to be the Brumbies' playmaker duo.

Sadly, BR, yes. However, it is looking more and more likely that he will be back in 2021, so next year we should still have Joe, Ryan, and Matt.

Interesting that we have no dates on the Lolesio and Ikitau contracts. Also questionable that Lolesio is the flyhalf of the future when we are bringing in guys like Pasitoa.

Thanks Roffy. Can't bring myself to like your post though.

Lolesio is looking the goods at U20s level, but in rugby terms he is another "midget", like Robbie Coleman and JJH. I seriously doubt that such a smaller player can be a long term success at Super level these days.

I really do like the looks of Len Ikitau though.

I feel like we have a good core of youngsters here, which, if retained, can be the backbone of the Brumbies for the next five to ten years. Guys around 20-24 who are already good enough to play a role in the squad, and seem to only be getting better.

Brumby Runner are you serious, "Midget", you need to do your homework more, as a number of Super Rugby clubs wanted this Midget! But thank God he stayed with us at the Brumbies....His skills, defence and running ability will go well with the new recruits.

Ikitau has signed until the end of 2021 whilst Lolesio will be with the Brumbies until 2022.

If Lilo goes, who's the 10 next year? Hawera? that leaves a little to be desired.
Hawera isn't committed beyond this year, it seems. Our options would be Bayley Kuenzle and Reesjan Pasitoa, the former being a good prospect and the latter exciting many people north of the Tweed.
