In keeping with tradition, if the season was a movie it would be Rocky 3 - Great start, faltered in the middle, returned strong.
My man of the season - George Smith, of course. Per game, he managed 70 minutes, 8 runs for 38m, 2 tackle busts, 14 tackles made, 1 offload, pilfer and turnover forced.

Henry Speight is top try scorer, tackle-buster and offloader with 8 tries, 22 tackles bust and 10 offloads, Ben Mowen is the top lineout taker and stealer with 74 takes and 7 steals, George Smith top for Pilfers and Turnovers forced with 7 Pilfers and 6 Turnovers, Christian Lealiifano the top point scorer with 180 points, Jesse Mogg is the top line breaker with 11 line breaks, Peter Kimlin played the most time and is the top runner with 1249 minutes played and 104 runs, Sam Carter the top tackler with 153 tackles and Matt To'omua tops the Try Assists with 8.

Overall grade of 9/10 - Not perfect, but pretty bloody good.

Matt To'omua got my vote. Great to see him injury free and fulfilling his potential.

Mowen got my vote. As all here know I have been a fan for many years and am very glad that White saw his worth not only as a player but Captain. Mowen has led from the front all year and maintained his consistency across most games, playing the full 80 in most games.

Voted Kimlin ..His had a massive year for the brumbies, from the start of the year to now his shown more then I expected. Probably at the start of the season he wouldnt have been in my starting team but has shown his a good rugby player. Even his Noodles for hands have improved.. impressive

Joe Tomane?
My vote was for Nic White. I think he's taken a lot of pressure off the team when required, he organises the forwards well and his kicking game has been a highlight all year. I also think he has been a key ingredient in the backline firing as well as they have, his service has been very consistent all year.

Ill have a post up next week on the Brumbies season. Its obviously been delayed and had to change a bit since they've now made the final.

Hopefully there can be some pics of the trophy to go with it.

I was going to vote for mowen, but settled on Henry Speight. a live wire who has threatened every time he has the ball. He does a lot of work off the ball too. He has had a cracking season.

It was hard choosing a stand out, as this year has been a great team effort. Bring the silverware home boys!
