Can't you read? It says "using survey and social media date combined". Clear as!

Pretty weird though - surely JAS usurps every other play over the last 12mo. Ryley Batt, Harry Bates, Paul Skenes, and Ben Simmons all getting a mentions seems a bit odd as well.

Reach and Momentum are the social media categories apparently, so it makes sense he doesn't appear on those:

They'll never reveal their methods (since thats how they make money) but I wonder if it's just the amount of engagement he gets online relative to his following, relative to the wider social-sphere (cesspool)?

So it excludes only domestic sport stars? No League or AFL players. Using only players with an international reach yeah I could see one or two Union boys being in the top 50.
