Biased Home Town Match Officials

I'm sick to death of seeing home town refs gifting wins in Super 15.
I'm endeavouring to get enough concerned Rugby fans together to send a coherent message to SANZAR.

I predicted that the Reds had no chance against the Hurricanes with 4 Match Officials being Kiwis in Wellington. I will continiue to make that prediction everytime I see the same situation and I'll be right about 95% of the time. It's that bad and I can't believe OZ rugby fans just roll over and take it!

Anyhow, if enough OZ fans can get up the gander and stop putting up with this garbage we can make an effective plea to SANZAR.

Seriously, you are over reacting big time.
Take a chill pill, watch a few Tah's games and your frustrations with the refs will disappear.

There's nothing more embarrassing that a moan about the referees. Maybe if your team had played better they would have won.

Maybe Quade is corrupt. That crossfield kick in the dying moments was too monumentally stupid to be anything other than blatant match fixing.

If you had asked should neutral refs be used to avoid ridiculous call by fans accusing refs of cheating then yes.

Do you whinge, moan and complain about the standard of the ref's when a poor ref's decision benefits your team? Of course not.

Settle down and stop embarrassing yourself.

Mate, shut your trap. You're a disgrace to your fellow Queenslanders. If our boys turned up in the first half we would have won, refereeing conspiracy or not.

If this is based on the Reds game then we watched different games. I thought the ref had a very good game & the Reds should have put that game to bed when on attack with 3 minutes to play.

1st mistake- Quade kicking away possesion
2nd mistake - Morahan knock on
3rd mistake - Guy Shepherdson not running back another 2 metres

ok, if you want to make something of this, do the home work.

Go back and do the analysis. Find the games that had officials all from one country and then just come up with the win ratios. Home team v away team.

That'd be a good start. Thing bring back with actual numbers before you try to start eliciting the support of what is a pretty sensible and knowledgeable rugby supporter base.

It'd be an interesting analysis - I doubt there'd be a statisticaly significant variance between home wins and home wins with home refs, but I'd still like to read it.

Anyone completing a stats degree and looking for an interesting subject for an assignment??

ppssstt Raugeee - ill let you in on a secret. Rugby is the game they play in heaven. One cannot criticise the referee or else one will appear to be a bad sport.
One must first say how well the opposition played - how they deserved to win.
Then point out how many careless errors your team made, and how those errors were equally to blame for the gut wrenching loss.
Only then can you sneak in a sly whinge that may go under the radar without unleashing a landslide of s@#t pouring down on your head....
Unless of course you are a kiwi, in which case if you win it is destiny, and if you lose you wuz robbed (or it was a world cup)....

Mate, I felt the same way after the Tahs lost the semi last year, but the reality, the Tahs didnt turn up, and the reds could have won it but didnt.
