Interesting tidbid that has been the subject of some amusement with our friends across the dutch.

BB has punctured his lung and can't travel home, so he has been taken in by the All Blacks.

Their doctor is looking after him, he has been staying at the team hotel, going to training and was driving a golf cart for the ABs the other day too.

This is a great feature of rugby, which I am not sure you would see in other sports. Also testament to the good relationship between the two teams.

Yeah, it's good to remember it's only a game.
Nice gesture from the ABs team and management.

I agree wholeheartedly there.

I read in the other thread about the smiling and joking with the AB's after we were pummeled. I agree with that sentiment. However, the context here is totally different. This photo highlights what has always been one of the main drawcards of rugby. Mateship.

Rugby is a game where mates transcend national borders. Something we should be proud of.

Agree, I have the same view. I think this is a little different to what occurs straight after a game.

Pity we cant fly all the crocked wallabies over - the winning attitude might rub off.
Would they have invited QC (Quade Cooper)????

Is there another sport played at this level in which this would happen, remembering there is still 1 more game this season!

I was wondering today about Barnes and the treatment he would receive being there by himself. You sort of hope that the Boks would have offered the same being that it is their country and all.

Actually DC and co were schooling their mate Barnsie in how to pronounce his vowels correctly.

Nah I think it would be better to be with the ABs. The Saffers wouldn't have a "touring" aspect going on and might be more in-housed.

Well I definitely wouldn't want to be an Honorary All Black, that's for sure.
