They ran a comp here over the weekend. It was an interesting/novelty concept and worked well. Essentially a 7s tournament on the beach but heavily modified. I imagine it will be back next year.

I'd like to see more of this, and the ARU needs to jump on board and work with the Surf Clubs and others before the Mungos get themselves organised and claim the concept of Beach Loig.
There are "proper" beach Rugby Laws and everything about running a Beach Rugby tournament available for the price of a quick google search.
This would be a good fun way of doing preseason junior rugby training and recruiting, particularly when many ovals are unavailable due to the cricket season.
