Australia A - Back on the Cards

We must be picking a lot of overseas locks if Neville, Frost & Swain are in here.
I think we're fine.

Last A match is 14th, Scotland match is 30th.

We've got Phillip. I assume Arnold Skelton will be back. Holloway could go lock again and one of them can be on the bench.

Rory Arnold is Japan bound so won't be picked, Richie is still in France so he might be picked up. I'd imagine Skelton and Salakai-Loto will be picked up.

what’s the point of Tom Banks… honestly? Am I missing something with his wallaby eligibility. Is he back with the brumbies and his Japan stint just a off-season sabbatical

He left for overseas money and we rolling him out in a development team. (Aus A)

guess he put his hand up and his club agreed for his release considering they are touring Japan.

Unless Rugby Australia releases him, his current contract is still in place. Shows they are still interested in him as an option for the Wallabies heading towards next year.

Could be keen on the RWC still and might be the best way to keep eye balls on him. Match fitness to then fly to the Wallabies tour?

Agree with you though.

Yeah seems like fullback might still be a pressing issue for Rennie @The Ghost of Raelene and Banks selection in a development team is doing all possible research on 15 options for World Cup.

hope he doesn’t take game time away from JOCamp because we have seen what Banks can do and we really only just scratching surface of JOCamp ability at level up from super rugby

Wow Banks, are they trying to get him match fit so he can go on the EOYT?

Or will all Aus A players likely miss EOYT or just the final Bled.?

Neither. The Bledisloe is 7 days before the first A match and the last A match is 16 days before the Scotland match

Wilson is a good shout, he's surely going on the EOYT although he has been playing for Brothers

I think it's safe to say Hooper is done for the year too. If he was planning on returning for the EOYT this would've been the perfect comeback for him.

But it's pretty damn clever by the Wallabies here... if Swain's suspension is fewer than six weeks he could play on the spring tour.

Wilson

Not opposed to the inclusion of Teddy Wilson and Jorgensen, though I think Kalani should be there ahead of Wilson. Generally though I like the idea of including a development player or two with each Aus A squad like we have done in the past with the EOYT. Feels much more appropriate at this level.
