Huge congrats to Stewart, your rugby ride has been long and determined. All the best, mate.

FWIW, this armchair coach reckons these guys should be good enough to be solidly competitive with the Pumas - whether the recent tests have provided sufficient opportunity for Joe to "Schmidt it in" is to be seen. How gelled are they to the plan, how much advancement has Joe been prepared initiate?

Wallabies are surely the underdog here, but some reason for optimism I think.

I know the old adage that wingers don't win you games but man we could use some pace out wide. Argentina will definitely burn us if they get the chance.

I’m worried that the rookies and younger players are going to find their heads spinning in Argentina but I’ll be happy if we are competitive. The second fixture is one I really believe we can win.

Argentina with a 6/2 bench. Not specialist winger, centre or fullback. Just 2 backs, one scrum-half (Bazan Velez) and one fly-half (Albornoz) but some versatile backs in the starting backline. Mallia can cover 10/12/13. Cordero can cover 15 and Cinti can cover 14/15

1 Gallo
2 Montoya (c)
3 Sclavi
4 Molina
5 Rubiolo
6 Matera
7 Kremer
8 Gonzalez
9 Bertranou
10 S Carreras
11 M Carreras
12 Chocobares
13 Cinti
14 Cordero
15 Mallia

16 Creevy
17 Vivas
18 Bello
19 Petti
20 Lavanini
21 Grondona
22 Bazan Velez
23 Albornoz

I'm confident about getting a win in these 2 games, it's the best side we could put out considering whose un-available, Argentina are very inconsistent and have never been able to string wins together in TRC

Just confirming Harry Wilson is the skipper...

"A year ago Harry Wilson wasn't even on the Wallabies' radar but the bullocking No.8 will now captain Australia in their Rugby Championship clash with Argentina in Buenos Aires".
