Having just announced the amalgamation of the Yellow Scarf with Green and Gold Rugby, I'm really pleased to be able to take this venture one step further.
For the past few months, Matt (Gagger) and I have been talking to Bart from The Silver Fern about a joint venture. Things have worked out well, and we'll be going live sometime in the next week.
Nothing will change at first, except that the URL will be www.anzacrugby.com. But we've got a whole lot of new features, player interviews, and big prizes to give away. There will be separate boards for North Island, South Island, NSW, and QLD supporters, so that we don't step on each other's toes. There will even be a "Wild Wild West" board where it will be permissable to swear, abuse each other, accuse players of misdemeanors, and criticise Richie McCaw.
The new site will be bigger and better, but the overheads are set to rise, so expect to see a little more advertising. We're hoping to be able to announce a very exciting new sponsor shortly. I can't tell you who it is until next week, but it's not work safe, let me put it that way!
