2015 RWC

There are some rumours flying around here that England are going to be awarded the 2015 RWC...

Why to the IRB persist in giving the tournaments to well established rugby nations?

The 2015 RWC should definitely be awarded to Japan. The 2019 RWC should be awarded to USA & Canada. Argentina should be in the mix as well.

What is a WC in New Zealand (which Japan should have got) and then England going to do for the game?? Nothing.

Football have benefited immensely from World Cups in USA and Asia because they had the foresight to develop the game there. If only rugby had the same nous!

The IRB couldn't organise a game of touch.

I think as soon as the IRB decided to award RWC 15 & 19 at the same time it was always going to be established nation and unestablished nation.

So 15 goes to Eng to make some money (which won't be made in NZ) and then 19 will likely go to Japan.

Could be the other way around Noddy, I imagine a RWC in Japan will make some money too, off the JRU guarantee if nothing else.
