I was there at the '92 match as a young TSC Yr 7 lad. The 92 93 94 clashes and rivalry between the 2 schools were fantastic. Agreed. The Old Hill on Cranbrook Rd was always a sight - with Old Boys from both schools mingling and enjoying the main affair. 90's school boy rugby was pretty cool.

Yeah i dont know why, sometimes less is more and you only faced everyone once so it became like a bigger event and you only hosted everyone every 2 years. I cant comment really on the current format as ive not been to games but i can certainly remember bigger crowds back in the middle 90's years...

Well said. No school will ever have a 1st XV that is made up of (insert year) Year 7 intake. Country kids often arrive in the later years 9-11 because the fees are so expensive thats all they can afford to send them for.

I have no problem acknowleding the excellent SJC Rugby program across the board. As someone mentioned before and i'd agree it is the 'gold standard' and is nationally and internationally recognised as so. Joeys is famous for Rugby, other schools are famous for Academia, Rowing, Glengarry...
