sportsmanship has to go both ways. supporters getting stuck into players on the field - going on since the beginning of time. if you can't handle the intensity of the sport - try soccer. good luck with that strongly worded email, champion.

have to agree with a close match between barker and knox. i think in these fixtures it often comes down to who wants it more rather than pure form. Knox have nothing to lose, and Barker have everything - i think that has a dramatic psychological effect on the players. watch this space...

my understanding of the 2 tables is as follows. 1st XV 1. Barker 4/0 2. Knox 3/1 3. Cranbrook 2/2 6. Aloys/Trinity/Waves 1/3 i'll predict Barker to beat Knox, Cranbrook to beat aloys, and Waves to beat Trinity. Standard. Which would leave the table Barker, Knox, Cranbrook, Waves, and...

wowee. great day at QP1. got there too see a bit of the 2s. just think brook were outclassed by a better opposition. not much to say about it, waves certainly are the strongest in that comp. SDW said it best about the 1s. really happy for the waves lads that they were able to grab a...

i'd figured lamens was in the 2s recovering from injury. big call. always been a rocks and diamonds sort of fullback, probably looking for more consistency. "The Duel in the Valley" . i like it. a battle for the hearts and minds of sydney's east. i'm sure the ascham sheilas will be in full...

i'm getting excited for cranners v the college this weekend. a lot hinges on this game. i've heard scuttlebutt about suspensions for waverley players. anyone confirm? brook's fitness against knox impressed me. think it could be key at death valley. i really don't think theres much between...

Corn, Agree with RE Barker v Aloys. While they played a blinder, i think there was an element of the stars aligning for SAC as well. Have to say that I think Knox v Trinity will be decisive for Knox - agree that the sizeable portion of their squad playing rep footy over the break tends to do...

reasonable point RL. but i think the issues are systemic. rugby union is really only seen in the suburbs where range rovers are abound. huge pool of talent across western sydney untapped - the allure of league and soccer too much. it wasn't that long ago that CHS were a powerhouse at...

Hello Beauden. from my understanding there are other pathways available outside of NSW Schools, which some of the boys are sure to be on. having played schoolboys in year 11, i doubt that Pollard wouldnt make nsw 2s - so i'd wager he is in those alternative pathways. have not seen too much...

Joker, can only comment on what I have heard - which is not a lot more than gossip.. The story I’ve been lead to believe is that there was the allegation of Barkers coaching staff being wired up around the ground, and trainers/assistants were going on the field to relay information. I haven’t...

sad to have missed last night, although it sounded like a tough on for the reds. is there any schoolboy footy happening over the break? they used to put the battle of hill on around this time from memory. i wouldn't mind popping my head into a few matches.

injury i believe. perhaps a kings contributor might be a bit more in the know about specifics.

i'll give it a go. Barker Boy does this side have some great individuals (Pollard, Galloway). They definitely have the potential to do some damage through their forward pack, and stretch them out wide as well - but their big tests are yet to come. Cranbrook in r1 were off their game from all...

totally agree Running. it seems that when cranbrook and aloys win games that their supporters seem to get a bit excited on the forums. aloys played a blinder against waves, but honestly, not sure about long term prospects. they capitalised on some poor discipline and poor ruck work, but i can't...

thanks Wristman. I really hope i can make it up to Knox on tuesday to watch - could be cracker. am interested to see the battle between the 2 backrows - breden and brial will certainly be a contest.

can someone please explain to me what GPS blue and white are? are they supposed to be like equal 3rd and 4th XV teams? or is there something special you have to do to qualify for them (i.e. play in your schools 2nd or 3rd XV?). What do we think about the GPS lineup in the 1s? Are CAS going to...

    so as far as I understand the table looks like this after r2 1st XV 1. B (2-0) =2 C, K, T, A (1-1) 6. W (0-2) 2nd XV =1 B, W (2-0) =3 C, T (1-1) =5 K, A (0-2) competition really is wide open. last week aloys were written off and Knox was a hot favourite. just goes to show how much can...
