I think Amatosero will likely be a lock, alongside either Lee-Warner or Sinclair or Angelo Smith. I think Smith definitely has the most upside, however a youngster like Amatosero might benefit from the experience of someone like Lee-Warner

    Australian Rugby / RA

Campo was the most talented attacking Australian winger I have ever seen, however that was about it. I was behind the goal-line at a test in Sydney (took a mob of juniors down) and Taine Randall was storming at the tryline with only Campo to beat. Wasn't a problem, Campo actually took a step the...

    You'd almost be dissapointed if you weren't a vice-captain! ;)

    Wallabies 2024

Saying all these players go overseas and become world beaters because of their great systems just doesn't stand scrutiny. Yes, some players go overseas and become better players, some stay here and become better players, the majority of players improve as they move through their career until the...

    Wallabies 2024

To say either the backs or the forwards win games is simplistic rubbish. I have played in a grand final where we dominated up front, but our backs were simply unable to capitalise. Our opponents won the GF with 40% of the ball and backs that could turn every opportunity into points.

I recall Rosenblum, great kicking game, my recollection was that was about it. I remember him playing for Sydney Uni and NSW, did he play many tests.?I always thought him pretty underwhelming.

Would love to watch every Super game, but have no idea where I would ever find the time for that, as much as I love rugby, I have Stan and watch whatever I can, played to 30 and go to at least one test every year, I also have a life outside rugby.

I personally prefer Donaldson (which of course means nothing), but I don't think there's a lot between them and I don't really think either of them are tier one test level 10's. I also think that is our issue at 9, 10 and 12, and without quality there it becomes very hard for those outside them...

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Thinking about last night's game, the thing that stands out to me is our organistion in defence. Or, more accurately, the fact that there doesn't seem to be any. There were a few missed tackles, but more importantly as soon as the opposition get a couple of offloads, and/or changes the direction...

I think Wilson was pretty good as captain last weekend, must be something about him that gives Schnidt cause to pick him as captain, especially considering that in Williams, AAA and Gordon he has three super Rugby captains in his squad.

    Refereeing decisions

You may think it's silly, mine was a genuine question. And I would argue that the players are running to these positions to deliberately obstruct a defender. As, quite possibly was Wilson in the still you showed, however you would need a video clip to see whether he was already there or ran to...

    Refereeing decisions

I get your point Strewth, but Wilson is one player and arguably could have been in that position before the ball was kicked. The likelihood of a wall of four being coincidentally in that position prior to a box kick is a little harder to believe.

Bullrush, if you can watch Saturday night's game and tell me those players weren't forming a wall I've got a bridge to sell you!

    Refereeing decisions

Can I ask a question of the referees on here after watching last night's game from fairly high up. Every time the Wallabies put up a (supposedly) contestable kick four AB's run in front of the guy who is to catch the ball, turn their back to the Wallabies, and then just hold their position...

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Home now having gone down to the test, all I can say is wtf happened there? First 15 minutes just carried straight on from the 2nd half v the Pumas, just diabolical, 21 nil. Next 55 minutes, while still plenty to work on, probably the best the Wallabies have played for two years. Outscored the...

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Really not a White fan, and haven't been for years, would be nowhere near a Wallaby jersey for mine. How you could have him in that squad ahead of Lonergan I just don't get, but given the available options I strongly believe it should be Gordon with Tate off the bench. I agree with the idea of...

Given where you go back to Stillmissit I agree with you. I had the great privilege of playing with Hipwell and rate him number one, although I only saw Catchpole a couple of times and that was at the back end of his career and those who did see him rated him the best of the lot.

    Wallabies 2024

There have been some damn good players who contibuted a lot less to the Wallabies than they may have due to injury. Ben Tune is one that springs to mind, a real class winger who seemed to be constantly getting busted. Wright is such a player, and I was beginning to wonder whether Angus Bell...
