    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Yep - really looked and felt like all night the question from Jaco to Marius was "can you find a reason to penalise Aus?"

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Agree on the 6/2 bench, strategically dumb. BUT I know the penalty count was hugely against us - but show me where these penalties are actually a result of poor discipline, I can think of only one which was the diving exhibition resulting in reversed penalty for retaliation, apart from that we...

2022 Bledisloe Cup. Wallabies vs All Blacks

Disagree entirely - the watch work for all referees is “consistency”. There’s such a huge amount of refereeing done in “the grey” that a lack of consistency is a recipe for very poor outcomes and is therefore the definition of wrong!

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

yeah....nah. Wallabies lack of conversion of opportunities in the first 15min and basically the whole second half was the difference. Top 2 or 3 teams in the world have a higher much conversion rate from entries into the 22. Mistakes cost us early, knock ons, forward pass, and then in the last...

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

I think Hill has clearly cemented the "grub of the tour" award, taking it from Farrell, who has many more years experience of being a filthy grub

    NSW AAGPS 2022

Not a huge surprise in the 1st result, well played GPS. It's a pity we didn't get to see Izzzy Katoa play 10 for CAS, perhaps we might have seen more from Saunders with Katoa inside and while Jarah McK is a really talented player, consistency in defence is not his strongest suit. Gen Blue...

NSW Waratahs vs Blues, Sat May 28th 2022

Hate to say it but the Kiwi ref is killing the Tahs at the breakdown - 3 of the last 4 penalties were a joke. "Not supporting" x 2 and the maul penalty were straight wrong calls

    NSW AAGPS 2021

Agree this will be a cracking contest. I think the sense that CAS start warm favourites comes from the simple adage that you need to earn the right to go wide by going forward first - and that's where the main difference is. The tight five for CAS are very large, very skillful and will keep...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

You'll note I didn't make any claim that Barker has the depth to come close to Joeys, just that your assessment of the gave vs Riverview 4th was way off the mark!

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

Sounds like you were there at Riverview watching the Barker 2nds go around? Maybe not... If you had been you would have seen that this was essentially an opposed training run, 20 mins each way. The referee was clear that he was making sure it remained a contest. Rather than being an...

So the comparisons are, Barker just shaded SJC, but put six or 7 tries to one on Oakhill, AND Knox went down to SJC and to Oakhill by less than one try in each case. Oakhill have some talent, and seem to be improving week on week, suspect that SJC are a class above but I highly doubt it will...

So...same prediction for this year, SJC only win one and the Empire reigns undefeated???

Close b4p, Bryn is at 2 not 1 and Jack Mac will likely drop out when Eli Sagala comes back, shifting Aiden G to the wing. Thats your starting 15 at the moment from Barker. Far be it from me to pour cold water on a juicy rumour, but here's some observations. By My count 11 of these 15 have been...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

Ahh, early season predictions are the most fun, and this is just about the last chance to read the tea leaves since there will be some "triangulation" starting this Sat. Barker has NC, who were competitive against the double V but came up short and then SJC who accounted for KGS by one try...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

Agree, early indications are for a cracking CAS season with at least 4 maybe 5 teams a genuine shot at the Plume Shield. Interesting observation RL - Trinity are a bit of an enigma to me. I saw the games v Barker last year as a match official and the 1st and 2nd were v competitive and really...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

Always fun to sit in the selectors chair! I think there are lots of possibles from the 2020 2nds who will make the cut ahead of some of the 2021 Y11s in this line up! Also think the back row needs more impact. Ned Slack-Smith is a certainty when fit again, but Tom Livingstone, who is a great 7...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

Spot On. I think your pudding will be eaten with custard and ice cream Axe. Waves are deserved favourites with lots returning and a pretty dominant 16As. Knox should threaten also with lots returning and a few capable 16As pushing through. Barker will be interesting, the're always competitive...

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

I think you need to add Joel Kardash who started in the 1st 15, and of course Ned Slack Smith who was 1st 15 last year in Y10 and spent this year on oranges w knee injury

    NSW AAGPS 2020

Last weekend last Opens game - should have been one more 16s game this weekend. So for those 16A teams who were washed out 2 weekends ago their season was 3 games, I guess in a year like this we should be grateful for even that!

I think you'll find that many more than 4 of the Shore 16As are playing opens this season, this has been the strongest age group at shore since Y7 and has along with Newington has been the strongest in GPS in this age group
