    Wallabies 2025

As others have said, a 'no' is very simple. A 'yes' requires details, and details take time.

Just returning to this thread to be the biggest pest ever and remind everyone that my idea of a long-throw on on a 5m lineout to Sua'ali'i on the burst was in fact (a) legal and (b) not a horrible idea, despite the reaction it got here, as illustrated by the fact that Scotland scored against us...

Scotland v Wallabies at Murrayfield 12.40am Mon 25 Nov

We really haven’t been great tonight — defence is plagued with missed tackles and poor decision making, and our attack has looked absolutely rudderless

Truly horrible decision making from Tate there.

Wouldn’t mind seeing some rugby breakout here in the second half. It feels like a NFL game so far.

Those two Tizzano penalties were genuinely mind boggling.

This ref is nuts. Wilson was standing up - the tackle had barely been completed - and he blew a penalty.

Out of interest - what happens if a penalty kick for goal goes over the sideline? Is the kicking team awarded a lineout as if they took a punt kick?

The ref seems to think he’s the person everyone came to see tonight

You don't think the two hours inbetween my comment and your reply sort of confirmed this wasn't going to be the case? God forbid people discuss the game in the game thread

Only watching the replay now and 7 minutes in we've already had: -- a cross field kick -- a chip kick from halfback -- Lolesio run the ball from 10 None of them were particularly good opportunities, but I like that we're showcasing early in games that our attack can and will be varied. I've...

    Designated Messiah Watch: Joseph Sua'ali'i

To be completely fair, I attended a GPS school in the last decade and it was pretty commonplace for the 1sts basketball of each school to have at least one Year 8 or Year 9 kid in there. Year 7 is definitely young, but it's not as impressive as his rugby feats.

What are you on about? Read my post - I clearly specified that JAS is not in the line out for the play I envisioned. He’d line up at 10 and they’d throw high and long, similar to when teams try to bring a winger into the game with an overthrow. How can you possibly get so fired up by a post...

Wales v Australia, Monday 18 November 3:10am AEDT

That was my point -- it literally only requires 2 people, the hooker and JAS, and perhaps an hour or so to run a validity test of it. If JAS is contesting the ball over someone like George Ford or Marcus Smith, it's a no brainer. The opposition to it (e.g. the likes on Bravehearts) post...

They actually can advance -- it's quite a common play for overthrows to be purposefully received by wingers on the burst when teams have lineouts in the middle of the field. I reckon I've seen it 50+ times in Super Rugby. The Waratahs used it a fair bit around 2014 - 2016. If the ball doesn't...

For lineouts 5m out from the opponents try-line, put our halfback in as a 1 man lineout. Get the hooker to throw the ball high and long (e.g. past the 15m mark), and have Joseph start the play in the flyhalf position. Once the ball is thrown he starts his run and leaps to grab the ball at the...

Worst clean out attempt by Losesio there. I look forward to not having to type his name.

What do you get from posts like this? What value do you think it brings to the forum? Why do you return when you are so clearly not wanted or valued by this community?

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Yeah would’ve liked to see Wright put a kick down field in there and simply go for territory / field pressure. You don’t have to score off every play. He’s been electric lately though so I’m happy he’s creating chances overall
