I think there could be a higher representation from non gps players than previous years in the 2 qld teams. Will be interesting.

Gunter hadn't developed much since U16, hard to pick him on size alone when he didn't have impact as an 18yo in the GPS comp. To be fair he has been hampered by injury. Emry was signed to the Cowboys and withdrew from the GPS schoolboy trials after the 1st round. Was a standout last year but...

Liam Adam and Joel Kuchel are technically the two best tight head props at schoolboy level. Braden Schiller and Tom O'Tool are technically the two best loose head props at qld schoolboy level. None were selected in qld1 but 3 of them are still in the mix. Adams deserved a shot.

I'd also like to see Marty Koorts get a call up as well, I'm guessing size goes against him but he's goer and consistanly gives 120% much like James MacMillan.

1) 3rd & 4th is ordinary for any QLD or NSW team 2) I would argue that Scots forward pack would have dominated the Churchie's pack comfortably nullifying Churchie's red hot back line 3) Even a lot of Qlders are still scratching our heads at his selection let alone the captaincy 4) totally...

Noticed quite a few Ippy 13a players not playing. I was told as many as 10 players rested, a chance for their b players to step up. BSHS 13a do look very strong though will be hard to beat. As for best primary RL schools team in a decade that claim is made every year.
