You'll be back in a jiffy?
  2. Pass it to Dunning!

    Waratahs 2025

How did this guy have 40 caps? I barely remember him.

    Waratahs 2025

Second row is the weakest position. Probably Sinclair, but maybe Amatosero or Smith pan out.

Plus, he's probably not on very much money, with this being his first contract in pro 15s. If he doesn't pan out, the Tahs aren't really worse off. But I think he has a lot of upside still.

Sua'ali'i, Kellaway and Jorgensen all play different positions too, and I think Reilly is probably a bench option at best. Lancaster is probably a better prospect than Pietsch and maybe Jorgensen at this point.

He probably thought he'd get more game time at the Force, and he was right. I don't remember his departure from the Tahs being particularly lamented at the time.

Will be sad to see Harry Johnson Holmes go, but at this point my aspirations for him would be as a replacement rather than a starter. Hopefully this means the Tahs have signed a top prop or two to replace him.

If Slack-Smith is missing a full year because of concussion, he should retire from rugby altogether.

Too often the reason these players really shine overseas is because the competition isn't as good. The best French players are split into 14 different teams. The best NZ players are split into five different teams. Is it any wonder why these expats look so good?

    Round 12: Waratahs v Brumbies Sat 11th 7.35PM @ ALLIANZ STADIUM

No, Pone is a finisher for the Waratahs.

    Waratahs 2025

There's a lot of players in the unsigned list that I don't think the Tahs will miss. I'd re-sign Harry Johnson-Holmes because it's nice to have an experienced front-rower who isn't constantly injured, though I'd like them to sign a player who would start, with HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) on the bench. I had high hopes...

We can't blame injuries for playing so dreadfully. There were eight capped Wallabies in the 23 this week. We should be competitive everywhere but the front row. Instead our young players aren't developing and our big names are regressing. The Tahs need to replace the entire coaching staff.

    Round 10 : Reds v Blues

Somehow barking like a dog is the most coherent and insightful thing Sonny Bill has said all night.

    Waratahs 2024

There must be something going on with the strength and conditioning. There's no way the Tahs are so unlucky as to lose nearly every signed player in the front row.

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

Turns out defeating the Crusaders wasn't the incredible achievement we all thought it was at the time.

Angus Bell is out for the season: https://wwos.nine.com.au/rugby/super-pacific-2024-teams-round-eight-news-week-8-lineups-injuries-kickoff-tv-times/a20aaec2-78e0-4779-b753-e27fb9daa3bf

Yep. It was only a few years ago that Angus Bell was yellow carded on debut for scrum infringements.

    Waratahs 2024

My co-worker expressed an interest in seeing a Waratahs game. I went to the website to find out what the next home game is, and I gave up looking after a few minutes. The website is a disaster. They are shooting themselves in the foot with a terrible user experience.
