Personally I don't really have any issue with the kicker using their allotted time to take the kick. The laws now give them a set amount of time to take a kick so I don't see how it would be fair to call anything within that time wasting. It's a much better situation then in the past where it...
Rebels seem to have a bit of a mental block/fear playing the kiwis still. If they attacked the ruck like they did last week they'd be in a much better position but they've fallen back into all patterns and look like they're so worried about the chiefs attack they just want to load the d line.
Rebels are hoping there will be space with the yellow rather than actually looking for it and making it. This period is keeping them in touch but I feel like if they don't get pay they'll be cooked. Particularly if Gordon is done
He might have played for them but I'd hazard a guess his heart lies with a different blue and gold team.
Plenty of those guys have much stronger QLD ties than NSW ones and if you believe they left because of Thorn then the barrier to returning isn't there anymore.
More generally all of those...
Petaia for 2 games before getting injured than Feauai-Sautia, but that was Petaia's 2nd year. He debuted in 2018 mostly in 23 or on the wing with Feauai-Sautia and Kerevi sharing 13.
The problem is not these young guys being advanced ahead of "better options", it's that our squads aren't built with enough depth for there to be better options than calling in a 19/20 year old before they're ready.
Fantastic news, great to see the women included in the tour too. Huge opportunity for the fringe wallabies and those returning from injury to press their case for the Rugby Championship too.
Defensive lineout has been great for the rebels though. I feel like their main problem has been the consistency of the throwing and that's more down to the individual players and list management.
Would probably nice if the Wallabies were able to bring in a skills coach for that though, it has...
Edmed is not actually signed for 2025 yet, it's entirely possible he moves on if he believes the tahs are betting on bringing in Gordon. The way things are going that could easily happen before Gordon is guaranteed too.
