    Waratahs 2025

Thanks CR. With the Wallabies away and some on the injured list that was essentially the Tahs 2nd XV, so great to see some depth emerging. Good to see some back row potential coming along as losing Hanigan, Holloway and Swinton all at once leaves a bit of a gap for tall back rowers.

    Waratahs 2025

Waratahs with forward ball runners coming out of their ears - Bell, Tupou, Amatosero, Gleeson, Leota, Gamble ….. even the young back ups like Talataina, Halaholo, Kunavula, Smith etc are all carriers. Not sure who will be the ruck monsters making sure the ball is secure which has been a...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Thanks CR, jeez that a tough pool if that's the case, particularly as you generally need to finish top to get to the last 4. Backs really well covered. In the centres alone there is Pakeho, Goldborough, Grover, Enasio and Rubens. Maybe also Fittler to be considered if they need someone with a...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

The AUS u20’s this year was predominantly Brumbies players from the team who won the u19s last year..

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Backrow players and patterns certainly wasn't the Waratahs 19s problem this year, and Durbidge couldn't have been the problem as he didn't even play on Saturday anyway (maybe if he did ...). The Easts Colts coach is the Tahs 19s coach anyway, and his excellent record speaks for itself. The...

U18 Academy Games and Australia U18s

Tahs dominate everything in their path in juniors from U15's to U18s. Losing 2 years in a row to Brumbies teams they should beat on paper is a bad look, but given they keep beating Qld it's all hardly pitchforks and burning at the stake stuff. Once a kid leaves school it's the senior Super Rugby...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Agreed. Backs have great depth across all positions it seems. U20s won't have the biggest backline but skill and speed aplenty. Prop and backrow stocks look good too, probably second row and hooker wide open.

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Agree. Veiru (6), Grover (13) and Harvey (15) best for the Tahs. King (3) and Martins (9) for the Reds. Gillon (Reds 4) and Doyle (Tahs 8) seemed to be in attendance at nearly every ruck. Big engines for big fellas. Likely rematch at Ballymore in 2 weeks for the final. If Reds can sort out...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Solid Waratahs u19 performance over Rebels 78-20. Hard to make much of it all till they play QLD and Brumbies. Again, the outside backs, especially Grover and Palmer, were just way too quick and skilful. Absolutely electric. Forwards just too fit for the Rebels who had some big bodies that...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Ryan is definitely a good player. Probably more all-round skills than Durbidge, but Durbidge's pilfering skills are just next level. The other Brumbies backrower who looks the goods is Beau Morrison, who is rangy and quick. Next years Wallabies U20 will have no shortage of talent and skills to...

    2024 Super Rugby Under 16 and 19 series (29th Sept - 3rd Nov)

Or ..... Colts is U20 and this is an U19 team. Maybe all the Gordon Colts stars are U20 and not U19? Gordon actually got 6 in U19s the extended squad of 35, including some who either play seconds colts or play 1sts off the bench. Also, Aden Ekanayake is ineligible due to Aus 7's. Be keen to...

    Shute Shield 2024

Easts Colts have very good cohesion and have had majority of the team have played every game together this year and will deserve top spot. Even if uni found a way to win well, Easts will hold top spot based on more wins. Uni have chopped and changed all season with players up and down to grade...

Wasn't Peter Horne's old job to write the rules for World Rugby? If anyone knows they weren't followed it'd be him. Nice sentiment, but Buckley's of getting a favourable response.

Thanks Desmond. The irony of you calling out someone who has called out someone else for openly criticising 18 and 19 year kids multiple times online hasn't been lost on me. Free speech and all that. Consider me suitably chastised. Everyone is indeed entitled to their opinion on a Rugby forum...

Steve Grey criticising the Junior Wallabies / Waratahs Academy players ( especially backrow-second row) yet again on any thread going. There’s a shock. Just tell us who your boy is so we can keep an eye on him ourselves and make our own minds up if he should be there.

Hard to know what to make of that game. First half with the wind the JWB’s were poor and error strewn, scrum in trouble, missed lineouts and some of the outside backs kicked away or dropped possession. Cordukes was playing well till his red card. Second half they were very good. Sawyers and HMP...
