He’s referring to Fred who is in year 11, handy player who was in the side at the start of the season.

Spot on mate. I’ll be stunned if more than 3 or 4 of that 14s side play union as 17 or 18 year olds if they are not already at a rugby playing school. Or of course if they end up at one. Some of them were playing at the recent league champs in the 15s.

Yep. Big pack, a possible clue to the game plan with a regular centre also not playing?

Agreed. I feel like View tried to cut and paste what they did with Liam Grover. Good on them for being flexible enough to make a change.

It was 9 year 12s, 5 year 11s and 1 year 10. They were also missing 2 regular year 11s. 3 of the 9 year 12s are also ‘under 17’. I think the point trying to be made was that the ‘under 18’ year 12s have come up against strong sides over the years.

Did Joeys win any games against St Augustines today?

    NSW AAGPS 2024

A much better team and a well deserved win for Augs. Only 2 Joeys reserves towards the end.

Alec Sheldon from Grammar was the GPS firsts 5/8 a few years ago. A great player, unfortunately he got injured early in the game against CAS. Not sure of any others? There have certainly been a few from both schools picked in the other sides.

    Round 3: Waratahs v Highlanders - Friday 8 March 2024

Correct re the Northern Beaches. Multiple junior clubs, the Rats and Manly are regularly competitive at under age state champs, the Rats dominated the colts last year and some good Subbies clubs as well.

I’m pretty sure Kings beat Joeys in the 15s last year. It’s been noted here before, each year the 16s is an odd age group as the standouts often end up in the opens.

Reds v Waratahs - Roma Festival of Rugby 10 Feb

Yep, a concern the only points came from a penalty try

I’m not sure I understand, they are under 16 and I assume they are all at school. How do you only qualify for one pathway? Thanks

A few Joe boys in the Sydney side plus some very familiar names.

I’m not too sure, CCC were leading in the second half. They played well. It looked like Harry Darling went off injured, hope he’s ok.
