I think if you were to look into it all the public school players you’d find majority come from Victoria (where club rugby is the main pathway) or outside of Australia. From the rugby championship extended squad earlier this year 35/49 were private school educated

Yes trial games and expanding the game to give talent at ISA schools a fair go is what’s destroying the game, because all the criticism of rugby at the moment isn’t a lack of expansion to kids outside of the gps comp…

This would be the perfect time to bring augs, oakhill and pats into the cas comp (assuming they want to).

    Apologies it was an ankle

Think finau did his shoulder the game before the final. He’ll be back in time for the u20 championship in South Africa and it will most likely be him and Edwards as the two hooker

Very well deserved. Congrats to all cas players included in the squad

Between him rous, Gibb, kotarac, Thomas and Jake hanley I think barker have enough back rowers

Is this like how Riley evans and muriti were coming this year?? Barker have plenty of back rowers

    CAS Rugby 2024

Tye jecks was last years 10 and I’m pretty sure he has another year

Colvin who was knox 15 last year is returning hence why I said he won’t play 15
  11. Halfbackenthusiast

    CAS Rugby 2024

Probably an over correction given both teams had high expectations for last season and underperformed
  12. Halfbackenthusiast

    CAS Rugby 2024

I doubt he’ll be the 15 for knox maybe 2025 definitely a gun but he’ll most likely play wing or 13 this year

    CAS Rugby 2024

Barkers team is largely returning players. I think barker and waves will have the strongest pack and halves pairing this year but like always impossible to know this early who’s gonna win

    CAS Rugby 2024

How good players are in the u15s often means very little in u18s.

Probably signed with the brumbies after the cas season. wouldn’t be surprised if he has the same manager as some of the barker boys who played for the brumbies

    CAS Rugby 2024

Enasio also played for brumbies 19s

Joe walsh these kids train so much from u18s to u20s but play no football. Missing games because they participate in aus and gen blue camps.

    CAS Rugby 2023

It might well be a a strategic move like sharpies and Brials are vice captains and coming off the bench. Maybe they want some of their big play makers coming on late to target tired forwards

    CAS Rugby 2023

I think rugby australia are doing this to target walsh, they see him as high risk of leaving to league or uk as his brothers did. Fowler is already contracted but giving walsh every opportunity is gonna make him more likely to stay in the 15 man code

He played only bs up until u16s but I thought barker couldn’t develop players
