Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

You're on the some pretty good gear if you think we should drop Kuridriani. He's fast turning into an absolute stud centre.

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

Some positives Cooper - the long ball to Folau. He earnt his 13 grand with that alone. To'omua - in his fourth test start is turning into a real asset. Couple of fuck ups kicking to touch but we've seen 80 test veterans do that and given them passes for it. Hopefully he finds that balance...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

Genia needs to be dropped. Let's not get erect at 15 flashy minutes off-the-bench (What happened in SA) when he is so far from being able see what's wrong and how to correct it, it's not fucking funny. He's never been a competent kicker. I'm sure he's appeared so in the looseness of Super...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

AFL, then. The point is that "what if" is pointless.

Fortunately, whether or not you see it is entirely academic.

You're not capable of ranking losing performances and acknowlegding progress? Ok.

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

Injuries and being generally available are a part of the sport. Cruden was the best 10 available to them. C Smith has gone elsewhere for a bit. Once you start qualifying what happens on the field with "well, if they had so and so available", you might as well wonder about how good we might be...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

As for JOC (James O'Connor), fuck him. The Wallabies are now officially improving. Betham looks likely and we know Tomane is improving. If this side fixes its defensive issues, they're going to be very competetive again. Transplanting in a locker room cancer just because he's promised that he's finally...

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

Is it just me being negative, or do the ABs ruin far less promising backline movements through the intervention of a front rower than we do? I swear, whenever the AB backline finds itseld in space, the players around the space are the outside backs. When we do it, James fucking Slipper ends up...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Given the standard of some of their other backline players (the 13 comes to mind), it's frankly implausible that Contepomi is the best available 12. They carried him today and they've been carrying him for a while. That's no space for a 36 year old man no matter how much of a legend he is.

    1. We don't get "flogged" 3 times a year. Here is an educational resource for you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bledisloe_Cup 2. Fairly recently there were 4 matches a year. 3 is just right, imo.

Is the TMO no longer required?

Most screens at most big rugby venues are not sufficiently high definition at the distance from which the ref can view them to make the very tight line calls (Cueto 2007 RWC). The issue you then have is that Joe Slapdick at home can see detail that the refs can't. Imagine the howling from fans...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Whoah whoah whoah, just whoah. Today's performance was the best we've seen this year, by a long shot, but let's not forget how bad things were as recently as a week ago. There's no good reason to "stick" with the two halves when they don't perform. I think what we saw today is evidence of...

1 - 10 is a prett silly rating system for rugby. When was the last time someone got a 2? Even guys that have absolute shockers? 1 - 5 is better - Very Poor, Poor, Average, Good, Very Good. And "unrated" for players playing too little time.

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Never thought I'd say this but Tomane has to be in my top 3. At least 3 line breaks, which doubles our line break count for the season.

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

We're up by more than 3 converted tries. My guess is that Fardy has impressed enough to get a rest. Simmons - perhaps not.

can we please run tomane straight in the inside channels during the spring tour?

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

I think people are being a bit unfair about the standard of the arg attack and our defence. The facts are that the Argies have been able to score 13 - 17 points in ALL of their RC matches so far. Yes, even the mighty boks and blacks have given up points to this team. So yeah, maybe the...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Quade is playing very well tonight but he's soft in contact. I'd say the alternatives are that he offloads late or doesn't take it to the line at all. He runs upright (so he can offload) and gets smashed or just held up.
