As @Sofit mentioned in his recent post, at the end of the day depth is one of the most important things in GPS rugby - so all boys can have a go. With school such like NC going down to the 9ths in some cases, it’s saddening when these boys have limited competition. Thus, if downlands can hardly...

Thanks EC, value you trying to get the forum back on track. My pick would have to be Lucas Clifford (BBC), if anyone has seen his media accounts then they would know how much work he has put in this season, and to finally see him get picked last week and put on a what I think was a man of the...

To Keep this chat how it is supposed to be - footy talk, A question. Who has been everyone's personal favourite player to watch, and why?

Although BSHS this year have proven stronger than most of their performances last decade, I can't see them beating that 2016 side. I was in fact somewhat involved with First XV rugby this year and I remember this vividly. The likes of Taulagi, McNamara and Mahina for BSHS simply outclassed any...

Love this take, Clifford truly the epitome of hard work pays off. Warmed my heart to finally see him get the starting spot, especially after seeing him fix up the late game BBC scrums when coming off the bench.

My Vote is Tom Goldie (TSS). One of the best pills in the comp and knows his way around a scrum and ruck. Has a great boxy too. He has also been a key in defence putting good shots on throughout the season.

Hey @tikkamungrel_3000, thanks for the reccomendation My top coaches of the season are as follows 1. Kefu Brothers (BSHS). These These former wallabies have taken the state high team effectivley from zeroes to heroes in the matter of one season. It's truly impressive how they have brought the...

I agree here, Nudgee have shown that they aren't always perfect, and on a bad day their party can easily be spoiled. Maybe its just the love for schoolboy footy and NC old boy in me that craves for a grand final game. Haven't had a round 9 thriller like that in years.

You are correct, but don't tell me the didn't put up a good fight against heavyweights BSHS and BBC (2 point margins), although they weren't too competitive against NC. Maybe dark horse was the wrong call as they have already come up against the 'Big 3' this year.

Hey Bill - This information would likely be in the AIC 2024 forum.

Interesting take, my dark horses of this season are IGS and GT personally, they have seemed to be able to show up against teams much bigger and more favoured and always put up a good fight.

Don't want to speak for him but its likely he is reffering to Nudgee (College) and Brisbane Boys (College), as both Collages.

Will be Interesting to see how my NC boys cope with two back to back 'finals-esc' games. An especially tough draw when players are tired at the end of the season and likely in exam period

I honestly think if this game happens it will go down to the wire. State high seem to have unseen spirit and mungrel this season. As a NC old boy I'm predicting us to get ahead in a blinder (close one).

Ahhhh I Agree with you Bill - and welcome to the forum! Those days playing schoolboy footy were some of my best, and I reminisce on it every day.

Thanks for the reply RG, how do you know him? Coach or Parent or Schoolboy? Apologies if you don't want to get too personal on the forum but I'm just personally interested.

Agree here mate, and thanks for actually talking footy. My personal Top 3 is Grenfell (NC) - Great Work in the lineout, attack, and defence, as well as a great runner in the rolling maul - always avoiding the sack. Harkins (GT) - As I watched the battle of the colours, Harkins appeared to have...

All this Spr*n*l*r talk just has me a bit sad, thinking about those horrible days that lead to the lockout as @The Blin6side stated. Fellow forumists - let's just try and chat footy and respect the forum as staff wish. My Question for everyone - who is the most in form hooker at the moment?
