    Wallabies 2023

Lolesio just doesn't constitute the triple threat the wallabies need to create more space in the wider channels. Any defensive line only needs to defend the pass/kick option. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a very good footballer and has played pretty well during this series.. (especially...

    Waratahs 2023

Would still end up sitting behind Gamble at the Tahs post Hooper

    Waratahs 2023

One Super Rugby standard back up in Vailanu, Horton currently not up to standard as a scrummager or thrower. Yes, solid around the park, but weakens the team at set piece unfortunately. Latu has been foolish a number of times, but where is the downside for the Tahs? He screws up again then he is let...

    Waratahs 2023

Agree completely. Excellent player when on song, low cost, if it doesn't work out, then move him on. Could be a great redemption story ala Perese... Coleman seems to be creating a fantastic playing culture that's bringing out the best in the players currently at the Tahs. Look at Holloway as a...

    Reds 2023

Just an FYI, the Tahs had a very, very good team in 2011 and would have featured deeper into the finals except for a massive injury toll later in the year that had them dropping out of the finals in the first week. They completely belted the reds 30 - 6 in round 2. Most of the injured players...

    Force 2023

James Ramm and Alex Newsome from the Tahs perhaps, both just went o/s when a spot could have been found at the Force. Newsome especially as he kicked off his career there.

Would be happy to grab one of the Sydney born locks at the Brumbies, any of Hooper, Frost or Neville.... They could have one of our young 10s... either Donaldson or Harrison. Pretty good deal if you asked me ;)

    Waratahs 2023

He's a loss we can afford as we have a number of smallish locks unfortunately.... Hanigan, Holloway, Douglas, Bokenham, plus Swinton could also play lock in a pinch. We really need an XXL lock and a solid LH behind Bell to fill out the squad. Pretty solid at TH with HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) and Holz.

    Waratahs 2023

With Pietsch, Mark Nawaqa, Nadolo covering wing (plus Perese can play wing if needed) there were never going to be many opportunities for other outside backs. Hence the departure of Newsome, Ramm and Reilly. FB cover is also there with Beale, Harrison and Donaldson. Walton and Tuipulotu fit...

    Waratahs 2023

Currently the Tahs have a weight problem, as in they are full of relatively lightweight players in just about every position. The power difference and weight differential in the forwards vs the Chiefs was stark, and one of the main contributors in their defeat. The pack weight was close to 80kg...

    Reds 2023

Quote "The Tahs are making headlines because they're essentially where the Reds were 3 years ago 2022 = Now 2021 = 1 year ago 2020 = 2 years ago 2019 = 3 years ago Unless we've time jumped to 2023? Thank you and goodnight

    Reds 2023

Ok mate, just say you meant 2020, 3 years ago is 2019. I still stand by the comment that it's coaching, culture and grit that are vastly different when comparing the teams, not squad makeup.

    Reds 2023

My Apologies, from now on 2022 - 2020 can now be 3 on this forum when discussing the reds performance

    Reds 2023

2022 - 3 = 2019 Sorry mate, but I'm ok with very basic subtraction, perhaps you should refer to the 2019 squad instead.

ok, let's just call them Wallabies...

    Reds 2023

I think the comparison you make regarding where the Tahs are now and the reds were 3yrs ago is completely incorrect... The Reds roster back then still had a big list of stars like Kerevi, BPA, Rodda, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Timu, Higginbotham, Naivalu etc. plus plenty of young stars like TT, Petaia. IMO just the...

    Wallabies 2023

Kerevi was playing 13 and didn't get many touches unfortunately, different story as a 12 I'd think.

    Wallabies 2023

So with the Bob Dwyer view that you need at least 5 world class players to win a RWC, how are we tracking for 2023? IMO you can make a case for more than 5... Tupou Bell... (if not now, very soon.) R Arnold ( was, can't speak about current o/s form) Hooper Valetini... (on current form)...
