    Berrick Barnes

Agreed, but Giteau is an attacking threat whereas Barnes doesnt seem to be because he kicks too much. Barnes kicking was better than Giteau's but he kicked far, far too much.

Do we need to make changes?

I think he's closer to a naughty boy than the messiah, but it annoys me when people blame a player when the performance doesnt warrant that blame. I know you werent blaming him for the Bok loss, but you clearly do for the AB loss. I dont think its quite so straightforward. If our forwards...

Do we need to make changes?

I have assumed Gits will be rubbed out for a week. Didnt realise Kimlin was injured in France. I agree completely about Diggers.

Do we need to make changes?

The quality of rugby analysis on this site is sinking fast. Hoiles? Louie you must be Hoiles' mum. You mention him at every opportunity. Chisolm after 1 game back from 3 months off? A host of changes after a close loss that Wallaby mistakes were largely responsible for? Both locks were quiet in...

    Berrick Barnes

I'd like Deans to bring T Smith into the squad.

    Springbokke vs Wallabies: Newlands

Well done to the Boks. I agree with Naza that its insane to kick the ball back to the opposition all the time though. Barnes might have a great boot, but I'd like to see a little bit more Nathan Grey in him. The defence knows we are going to kick it or spread it very wide. We dont seem to play...

    LOTE Sacked

I think its more than that. I dont think its in the interests of anyone for this stuff to make it into the public domain. I'm betting on a settlement.

    LOTE Sacked

Lote has a new contract, neither of them want this in the papers - time to come to the table and talk lads. Lote will be particularly unpopular if his taking this to court exposes other players as having been doing something they would rather wasnt public knowledge. I wonder what price Lote...

    Steyn vs O'connor

Agreed, but JOC (James O'Connor) is 19 now and 19 v 20 is comparable. Gagger - speaking of Napoleon Dynamite, and way off topic, have you seen Blades of Glory? Classic.

    Steyn vs O'connor

Scotty you saw more than you think of Steyn at a similar age. He won a world cup when he had just turned 20. They are both enormous talents. We expected much more from them at a young age than we are entitled to. Steyn has played for a strong team for his whole senior career and has had senior...

    QLD Reds 2010

Its accepted that there are enormous problems at the Reds. Rocky seemed destined to end up there and things changed quickly. Perhaps the same thing happened. I suspect that Barnes wanted to stay at the Reds but was convinced by those around him it would be good for him to move.

    Brumbies 2010

From all reports, Norths' Andrew Smith is doing well too.

    Barnes joins Tahs!

A lack of faith in the market doesnt make you a heretic. If left to the market, the Reds may or may not survive and if they did survive, may not prosper again for many years. The best way to ensure a balance of talent between the squads is some sort of transfer system.

    Barnes joins Tahs!

I almost agree with you naza. Apart from Barnes, there are 3 players I would be happy for Deans to give a run at 12. One is Giteau and the others are AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and Tyrone Smith. Ultimately we should pick the best 12 available and I'm not convinced that is Barnes.

    Barnes joins Tahs!

You are spot on there Noddy. There is something rotten going on. As for the transfer systems etc where are all the "free market" adherents? Won't the invisible hand of the market rectify everything?

Rumour of the week: Tahu back to League?

All from rugby backgrounds who went to league and then came back. Tahu, Tuqiri and Sailor had no rugby background. Noddy I think most of yours are the same as Elsom, Palu and Robinson arent they?
