Super Rugby AU Rnd 3: Brumbies vs Rebels, Sat 06/03/21

Some second row reinforcements for the bench. Callas and RHP should be available. Also a utility back available that’s not in the form of a scrum half. Well that’s my realistic hope anyway

    Rebels 2021

Also makes a few people look silly from comments last week of Rebels guys going down. The positive news is that Sordoni, Callas and Hanson should be onboard. Uelese can’t cop a break (pardon the pun)

    Rebels 2021

I’m expecting the Rebels and Force to share a home win each.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Depending on how his team goes, Philip should be back and available for mid-year internationals. His team is sitting 12th so unlikely to feature in finals. If Rodda signs for an Aus team and his team doesn’t make the playoffs will also be available for French tests. We could potentially have...

    Waratahs 2021

Agreed I think they have most likely gone the extreme caution route. The uncertainty of the tv deal, uncertainty over a season happening etc. for a long time last year would determine some level of caution. I also wonder if Hooper is getting a portion of his future earnings paid this year, so...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Ex-Rebel Sione Tuipulotu has signed a contract with Glasgow Warriors. He’s Scottish qualified as well. Hopefully his younger brother doesn’t go the same way as he’s one hell of a talent

    Rebels 2021

Without talking about been able to attend a game or not, I’d be curious to find out if people think the Rebels having arguably their 3 hardest fixtures of the season in a row is a blessing or a negative? Reds - away Brums - away Force - away Also what would people be happy with after these 3...

Super AU R2 - Reds v Rebels Suncorp Stadium 26/2

Yep i don't think some people realise how many challenges the Rebel's faced to getting a competitive team on the park this week. Big props to the coaching team and available players for the effort put in, especially against a quality team.

    Rebels 2021

Looking forward to this weeks game, we should start to get a few faces back which will massively strengthen the bench. If we defend like we did on Friday I think the ponies might be in for a fight.

    Reds 2021

The ruck is a complete mess. I'd say 50% of all pilfers are technically illegal. Players seal off the ruck constantly, which means that the players trying to pilfer illegally use their hands on the ground, domnt hold their weight and body height, that then means that players have to bash into...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It’s always an estimate. Unless you have a Neilson box attached or another marketing company paying to track your viewing habits then it’s impossible to know what anyone is watching at any one time. Streaming is changing these dynamics as they can 100% know who’s tuned in. I used to work in...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Metro only or nationwide? Last week was 90k for metro only but reported to be around 200k combined after all was calculated.

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 27th Feb, Canberra

Only thing we have learnt so far is that the Tahs are a very ordinary team. In the first game the Reds could of easily put another 15/20 points on them if they executed a little better. It was also marginally a better Tahs team with Gordon, Perese and Walton available. Game two, they were...

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 27th Feb, Canberra

HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) is having 2nd season blues at TH, probably the worst game I have seen him play. I’m not sure what Caird offers after 2 weeks, I’d be throwing Wykes in next week for some energy and grunt. The rest of the team I didn’t think was shockingly bad. As mentioned above individually they were okay...

And what hasn’t Clark been astute about in the past 10 months?

Super AU R2 - Reds v Rebels Suncorp Stadium 26/2

I think the Rebels didn’t have many tackles in the 22 because the Reds would always give up a penalty as soon as the Rebels got in their half. If the Reds had better discipline who knows if the Rebels would of been able to breach the line, just like if the Reds had applied more scoreboard...

Super AU R2 - Reds v Rebels Suncorp Stadium 26/2

Same as last season, we are the South Africa of Aus rugby with how we play. It ain’t pretty but it’s effective against teams that are more talented

Super AU R2 - Reds v Rebels Suncorp Stadium 26/2

There is excuses and then there is reality. QLD deserved the win tonight but equally the Rebels deserve some kudos.

Super AU R2 - Reds v Rebels Suncorp Stadium 26/2

Well done Reds, you didn’t play your best but remained the most likely so deserved the small margin and win at the end of the game. Given the challenges with the squad and prep for the game, the Rebels showed they will be a difficult team to beat each week.
