    Western Force 2012

Interesting to see Cummins at fullback and Dellit on the bench. A pretty decent looking young side by the looks of it.

    Defending the rolling maul

Pretty sure I saw Pek doing a good job of infiltrating a decent looking Bok rolling maul in the last 10 minutes of the game this week heading straight up the middle and bringing it to an end. I thought that was a pretty good effort and therefore rated Pek's cameo a bit higher than others seem to...

Who's going to the World Cup?

I'll be there with 3 others. Going to all of the pool games for the Wallabies and also Tonga v Canada. Hiring a car and should be travelling most of both islands. Can't wait!

    Western Force vs Reds, 2011R17

Really? I doubt with the injuries the reds have that their bench is going to be any stronger than the force bench, which is looking rather strong: 16. Ben Whittaker 17. Tim Fairbrother 18. Tom Hockings 19. Ben McCalman 20. Mark Swanepoel 21. Mitch Inman 22. Alfie Mafi I think JOC (James O'Connor) at...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Not as big a catastrophe as I would have thought after fogetting to change my team this week. Still scored 260 and only dropped 1 in the GAGR league and 75 overall. Would've been a decent score of 348 if I had've made my planned changes. Oh well, still not too far off the pace...

    Podcast Recording tonight - Woody's Round-up

Maybe a question on why the force backline stands so shallow and does he not see this as a major reason for our lack of penetration this year. The game this week was a perfect example.

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

FAAARK! Got busy at work and forgot about making my transfers. There goes any chance I had to take out the 10K or the G&GR title. Had even looked laast night at the likely changes I was going to make, but wanted to leave it until all of the teams were finalised. Massively pissed off, but...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Absolute shocker for me this week. Dropped a couple of spots in the gagr league and down to 24 overall. Ice as captain and not having ranger or payne proved costly. Struggling to keep in touch with what's been going on in super rugby while on holidays in turkey over the last couple of weeks...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Wow, I had a great week! 483 points thank to Pretorius, Poki, Gits and captain JOC (James O'Connor). Up to #1 in GAGR and 16 overall. I can smell that $10K! Was hoping bringing in David Smith would be a master stroke, expecting the Force to run in a load of tries against the rebels on their off week, but alas...

    Force v Rebels - 2011R07

Rodzilla has definitely been hard done by if he wasn't injured last week - I thought he had a really solid return game, although he did only play about 50 minutes from memory. Some really good runs, solid in the scrums and I think he scored a try as well. As a force supporter, I'm definitely not...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Sacrificing Carter to pay for higginbotham was clearly a bad move! Managed a decent score with SBW as captain though and moved up to 5th. It's certainly tight at the top - the top 13 are within 100 points. Good to see our league is back at number 1 as well.

Yeah, had campbell starting since I had elstadt and o'neill who were both injured, so transferred campbell in for o'neill

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

So far so good. Bringing in Al Campbell was clearly a master stroke. Unfortunately decided to put Phipps on the bench instead of Sarel Pretorius after he managed to score a bag of points off the bench last week, which I'm now regretting. I did think it was rather risky at the time.

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

I've taken a big gamble and brought in Quade over Kurtley, sacrificing Andries Bekker to finance the move. Am hoping Quade and the Reds will lift their game, and they have a really good run over the next 3 weeks with the Rebels, Cheetahs & Lions.

Sharks team announced: 1. Tendai Mtawarira 2. Bismarck du Plessis 3. Jannie du Plessis 4. Steven Sykes 5. Alistair Hargreaves 6. Keegan Daniel 7. Willem Alberts 8. Ryan Kankowski 9. Charl McLeod 10. Patrick Lambie 11. JP Pietersen 12. Meyer Bosman 13. Stefan Terblanche (c) 14. Odwa Ndungane 15...

    Rocky's Captaincy

I think unfrotunately we will be stuck with Rocky as captain until after the RWC. While he may be getting better, his ref management, decision making and general leadership all are quite deficient. I very rarely see him in the ref's ear, pointing out continued opposition infringements at the...

    South Africa tour (and squad)

OK, had another look at the replay and am sticking with my original point of view. Beale was not involved in the previous two phases that I could see on the replay I found on the net. JOC (James O'Connor) brought down Conrad Smith the previous phase so was not on the wing. Beale had plenty of time to position...

    South Africa tour (and squad)

JO'C was caught out of position in the example I used as he was involved in the previous phase and was towards the middle of the ground, so couldn;t make any attempt. I agree positionally he isn't up to scratch on the wing. But if he was playing fullback, I would back him to bring Mils down 1 on...

    South Africa tour (and squad)

I still think JOC (James O'Connor) is a better option at fullback than Beale since his defense in that position is far more reliable. Case & point Beale's weak tackling effort on Mils for the first try on the weekend. The experiment with JOC (James O'Connor) at 14 has not worked, but he was doing quite well at 15 before AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was...
