    CAS Rugby 2009

Only result known to date is: Knox 17 Waverley 12. Frankly Knox did not play well- flyhalf Moss overplayed his hand and did not let the backline flow. Waverley scored first from an intercept and led 7-5 at half-time. Knox scored an excellent try from a rolling mall 10 minutes into second half...

    Shute Shield 2009

Re: 2009 Shute Shield Well a couple of turnups yesterday. Sydney Uni being solidly beaten by Sthn Districts- for Souths first win of season. Uni's first loss. Manly & Gordon remain the only unbeaten teams.

Re: Australian Schools Programme 2009 Park on the other side of the Railway Station(Warrawee) and walk across the pedestrian bridge. Clarky's BBQ skills are coming along- hear he could be promoted from onions to eggs this year!

    Shute Shield 2009

Re: 2009 Shute Shield Watching the progress of Gordon- the only Shute team without a contracted Waratah. Now have 3 out of 3 wins- they obviously have some depth also, when you look at the hiding their Colts 1s & 2s handed out to the Rats.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2009

The Australian Schools Rugby Union has released the bulk of their calendar for the current year. The Australian Schools Championships will return to Sydney, to be hosted by Knox Grammar School between 08/07 and 13/07/09. Knox has successfully hosted the NSW Schools Champuionships for past 3-4...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2009

2009 CAS/GPS Despite efforts for a number of years in combining the Sydney GPS & CAS competitions, via a joint 2 tier comp, CAS has adopted a 2 round home and away competition this year. Unfortunately this will mean many of the former trial games involving individual GPS vs CAS Schools will not...

    Tahs Vs Canes

I concur- having previously being lambasted for stating that Carter had a very solid season, last year. Frankly I am still to be convinced re Tahu @ 12- he will really need to pick it up, especially in defence. The Canes should provide a solid examination.

    The Tahs 2009

I concur re Carter. I thought he had a very solid season this year. Was a party to one of the best tries of the year, with Horne running off him(can't remember against who) at SFS. Regularly got over the advantage line and as already said, solid in defence. Would much rather have him @ 12, than...

    Baa Baas V Wallabies

A intriguing game to watch -loved it despite the limited try-scoring. Defence by Wallabies just awesome- Chisolm & TPN hadgreat games. From trepidation at start of tower we now have a substantial base to launch from next year. Bring it on! (Several of the BaaBaas should have their papers marked-...

So who has played their last test? and who will struggle with the cattle back?

Could not agree more re Mortlock. Has had to play all tour @ No.12, when he is undoubtedly best 13 playing. Just look at his tackle count- you know it when he is not there. One of the best tries of the year was his one in Durban. I believe he is good for at least another b2-3 seasons

Rugby boots - recommend something for a front rower...

It is getting more & more difficult to purchase metal studded boots. Obviously most of the players in the Hong Kong Test wore plastic moulded and the resultant spills true evidence of this! Last year my son wore the Canterbury Rampage and they were good- this year downgraded to his training...

    Australia Italy

Why on earth would you want Digby back after his (non)display on the weekend? Is Morgan over there-thought he was still recuperating from his woeful effort with Randwick in Sydney GF. Who the hell is Benny Lucas??

Do Qld have fans? Carter did the job asked of him last season. Certainly had a much better year than your boys(including NSW cast-off!)
