Waratahs v Force, round 1, Sunday 15 February

The 70 minutes display last weekend was fantastic and a big notch on the belt for WS! What impressed me most was not his work into contact, which was good, without being Potgeiter good, but it was the ability to get one or both arms free to create chance. Ill whip out the crystal ball here...

    Waratahs 2015

Does anyone have match times for the U20's / Gen Blue games on Saturday. Am extremely keen to seem how the likes of Holloway, Betham, et al perform after non selection in week 1.

Waratahs v Force, round 1, Sunday 15 February

Will allow a very expansive game, as he is pretty mobile, similar approach to last year really, just Potgieter & Dennis have swapped roles. Dennis is fine at super 15 level, and probably fine at the next level. He becomes an issue if your game plan is to try and bash through brick walls. For...

Waratahs v Force, round 1, Sunday 15 February

If that is the unknown half, then i like the way he plays. Some seriously zippy service from the back of the ruck, and not much sideways movement, just fast ball. Wouldn't be disappointed if he gets a trot at some point this season.

Waratahs v Force, round 1, Sunday 15 February

Does anyone know who the 2nd half was in the gen blue game. Certainly didn't look like Faleali'i. I liked the look of him alot! Horwitz could be a smokey for the bench inside back spot, he was pretty good in the Gen Blue game i thought, might also be a chance to blood him in.

Waratahs v Force, round 1, Sunday 15 February

The 2 things that jumped into mind for me were, does Cheika get Holloway in the action now and start blooding him over a chapman type player, and does Cheika get Betham back in quicker than expected. Also, with Naiyaravoro seemingly a done deal in Edinburgh if other posts are correct, does...

Trial: Waratahs v Chiefs @ Campbelltown, Friday 6 February 2015

I did notice this, probably as AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) usually covers up the sloppy defence from Kurtley in the midfield. Notably, most of the breakouts from the cheifs went straight up the midfield. I think TGC will be blasting them all over this. You might also expect Phipps and Hooper to be working alot harder...

Trial: Waratahs v Chiefs @ Campbelltown, Friday 6 February 2015

Also caught the last few minutes of the gen blue game. If Jim Stewart played as well as that all game, he should be signed purely so no-one else signs him!!! He is class, and with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) leaving, he could be a very valuable addition.

Trial: Waratahs v Chiefs @ Campbelltown, Friday 6 February 2015

Made the trek west on Friday night and what a pleasure. 2 brilliant showcases of football in the west in 2 weeks, im still a bit gobsmacked:eek: The football was good, without being great. The defence up the middle was sloppy. Dave Dennis was solid and his knee looked ok, and he coped a bit of...

Teams are up: http://www.waratahs.com.au/Waratahs/News/NewsArticle/tabid/157/ArticleID/14577/Team-named-for-trial-match.aspx Hell of a Gen Blue Team.

    Waratahs 2015

In any event, isn't the issue of his staying or leaving a 2016 issue? Fact is he is here to add depth a different dimension of play that currently Betham and Horne don't offer at the level he does! The other reality is it would seem he is here for this season no questions asked. On to far more...

Trial: Waratahs vs Three Shute Teams

What a top day in the west it was on Saturday. The only downfall at Granville was the lack of shade, but all of that aside, a great local atmosphere, tons of kids running around getting signatures, some quality football (albeit a bit disorganized), but a great day and more importantly a top...

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

@Lee Grant, any idea of team lists for the boys who played? Any surprise packets? Any notable omissions?

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

Whilst both are quality, the three boys starting in the back 3 for the Aus 20's are all now contracted. More depth to our swollen pools of backs talent! Kellaway at the Tahs, Pacid at the Rebels & Lacy at the Force! Keep in mind last years 20's had 2 contracted super players riding the pine for...

    Waratahs 2015

Am hearing whispers of a wider training group of uncontracted guys training with the Tahs at the moment while the Wallabies are away. Anyone have any info on some names? Any potential signings for this year, or next year? Lee have you had a chance to check the new guys out? Also, have the...

    Brumbies 2015

Did anyone notice in the pictures of the Brumbies training yesterday in the SMH, Henry Hutchison (2014 aus schoolboy) was down with the players. Hell of a player for the Tahs to let slip through the cracks! Any of the snouts in the capital know what sort of involvement he is having?

NSW Country - - - NRC Official Team Thread

ok Country Eagles fans, 2 questions: 1. Does anyone know when the memberships will come live on the Country Website. Have been checking for a good few weeks now with no luck? 2. Checking the website again this morning and the facebook page, and noticed that a development squad is due to be...

NSW Country - - - NRC Official Team Thread

I don't have an issue with either of these things. I think it is good that the associated clubs can act as somewhat of a feeder, but the size of the country rugby market is far more important then looking after Easts or Randwick. The aging player thing is so much an issue either, as i think...

NSW Country - - - NRC Official Team Thread

On a more positive note, that is a mighty impressive looking outfit. If they can keep their players on the park, these boys should go a mighty long way into this competition. Of all of the teams i have seen so far, this is one of the stronger ones, along with Perth. Really looking forward to...
