Springboks vs All Blacks @ Ellispark

This is what I was afraid of. Not trying to score points but trying to defend instead. And the first attacks we've had under Reinach/Lambie have been extremely static. Hougaard/Pollard was way more dynamic.

Springboks vs All Blacks @ Ellispark

Looks like we'll be playing for territory this half. 40 minutes is way too long to try and close out an 8(11) point lead vs. the All Blacks.

Springboks vs All Blacks @ Ellispark

Agreed. It's a real pain in the arse for us as well.

Looking at his first half, he should do that more often. ;)

Argentina v New Zealand, Sat 27th Sept 2014

Based on the results in the last 3 years, that's a tad optimistic mate. But I like your loyalty. ;)

Argentina v New Zealand, Sat 27th Sept 2014

Congrats to the All Blacks. The better team won the championship. ;) Now onto next week, where the best 2 teams in the world can smash each other into oblivion with no tournament positions etc. hanging over the match - just a pure rugby match, nothing more, nothing less. Except of course...

Springboks vs Wallabies @ Newlands 27/9/2014

Biased. If you watched the same game as me, you'd agree.

Nobody even mentions that any more, but it's good to see your conscience still bothering you about it.

I thought you guys were quite lucky actually to get away with lying on the wrong side so much actually.

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

Guess who didn't see the Bulls' transformation from 0 wins in 2002 to first SA Super rugby winners in 2007. Even 2009 and 2010 was still built on his foundations.

Thing is, like any WP supporter, we don't like losing, and we don't accept mediocrity. Take Frans Ludeke, for example - most of us think he needs "changing". But that's a chat for a different thread.

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

Thanks Oom. I was here a few years ago, but I was too busy on the other sites. Now that they've all reached a dead end, this is a good alternative. I always find Blue's insights interesting as a reader, but surprisingly I do not always agree with them. :P

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

Indeed. Nonetheless, Heyneke isn't stupid. I refuse to think he doesn't have a plan. He ALWAYS had a direction of thinking at the Bulls. Perhaps he doesn't want to overplay the youngsters this year, and leave them fresh for next year, I don't know. If it all turns out to be pointless next...

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

I REALLY hope you're right. I was still on board for these old guys to play until the weekend, as they seemed hungry enough in the home tests. But after watching that drivel on the weekend, I think we need players who will be hungry even when we play against Namibia - in other words, like it...

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

No. Read again. I am one of the biggest Steyn and Matfield fans you will find, but at the moment they're basically keeping hungrier, better players out of the starting line-up.

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

We will do well to lose this by less than 20. We're in a bad place at the moment. No real scrumhalf, flyhalf who looks out of sorts, an inside centre that is played out of position, and Willie Le Roux kicking more than a donkey all of a sudden, and doing it badly. Not to mention our...

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Regarding Pienaar, he was slow at clearing yet again. Hougaard came on and transformed our momentum, suddenly it looked like we had intent from set pieces and rucks. I wonder if Pienaar will ever impress at this level. He is like Wynand Olivier.

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Well played to your team. You played with passion, guts and determination. I hope you can win a game at least in the rest of the tournament. Your side looks a lot more settled than at the same time last year.
