    Wallabies 2021

Not fired up at all, just not particularly busy at the moment for a change. Just enjoying the discussion tbh. I was pretty surprised he was even in contention. Have seen him play plenty of times and IMO never performed to a level that I would consider close to international standard. Is the...

    Wallabies 2021

Simple question, would you pick him? Do you think he's the 2nd best hooker available in Australia?

    Wallabies 2021

We will see Saturday. If he comes on with 5m to go we can pretty much confirm they're taking the piss and handing out a freebie. However if he comes on with 30m remaining as per the usual front row interchange time in modern day test matches and performs strongly I'll happily recant and admit...

    Wallabies 2021

Rennie had half of the OZ Super Rugby players in his "squad" last year to check them out. McInerney was then moved on with the rest of them. Serious question then.... Where do you rate him amongst this list? Kaituú, Lonergan, Mafi, BPA, Porecki, Uelese? I'd personally have him at the back end of that...

    Wallabies 2021

I don't even think Cheika could pull that one off and he was hammered for favouritism from day 1 in the job...... (except most of the Tahs blokes he picked had beaten NZ's best in winning Super Rugby 2014 and got to the RWC final in 2015)

    Wallabies 2021

Is that a serious question? McInerney, 3rd rated at hooker at the Brumbies a couple of months ago is now on the verge of a test debut? Kaituú, Lonergan, Mafi, BPA, Porecki, Uelese are all in front of this bloke...... I'd even bring in James Hanson if we were that busted for hookers. No doubt...

Connal McInerney? Really?? The McKellar influence is strong........................... Cue Brumby fans indignant retorts.. I'll get my popcorn ready

    Waratahs 2022

We all know plenty of 'superstar' 17/18yo's never progress to successful professional players and plenty of 17/18yo who never shine in the schoolboy years develop into great professional or even international players. It's a lottery and some you win and some you lose. There are always plenty of...

    Brumbies 2022

I have feeling that whilst Lolesio is a very good young 10/12 I don't think he'll transition into a great international. He's pretty good at all the core skills but I can't see him improving to the point where he'll be our best option. IMO he'll get overtaken by both Carter Gordon (Who looks...

    Reds 2022

I'd expect it's also about keeping in good nick in the event of an injury call-up to the Wallabies

    Wallabies 2021

Wow, didn't realise the reds had signed up White, Cooper and Kerevi? Must have missed that headline..... :p

    Waratahs 2022

That's good news, he is a Super Rugby quality player. Had a stint at the Rebels, was Gordon's best player when they won the SS then had a stint in the US. Tough and experienced, just the sort of guy you need in the squad.

    Fijian Drua 2022

    Exactly

    Fijian Drua 2022

I would have the Drua play their home matched vs Oz Super Rugby games at the away venue. They could possibly bank way more in revenue by getting the away crowd to fill stands. Compare match attendance in Brisbane with Drua vs Tahs.... it'd be hardcore fans only, but Drua vs Tahs at say Parramatta stadium...

    Waratahs 2022

I'm thinking along these lines (assuming Hanigan is out of the picture until late season) 1. Bell 2. Porecki 3. Smith 4. Holloway 5. Douglas or Williams 6. Swinton 7. Hooper 8. Harris 9. Gordon 10 Harrison 11. Perese 12. R W-V 13. Foketi 14. Pietsch or Ramm 15. Donaldson 16. Horton 17. Brown...

    Waratahs 2022

I have a feeling they may use RWV as a 12 with either Foketi or Walton at 13. Gives us a very big body midfield who's strong both sides of the ball. Look at the difference Kerevi made for the wallabies...

    Waratahs 2022

Both good signings that will do a job at scrum time, particularly Smith. Starting FR of Smith, Porecki and Bell should hold it's own against most opposition. Pretty happy with that. They can potentially shift HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) back to LH. Now really just looking for a big, mean, scary TH lock... I've got a...

    Wallabies 2021

3 hookers are enough, only playing 4 games after all 3 Halfbacks, 6 Props, 5 locks, 6 BR, 4 Centres, 5 OB's Props: Tupou, Alaalaatoa, Slipper, Bell, Sio, Robertson (6) Hookers: Fainga'a, Latu, Kaitu'u (3) Locks: Rodda, Swain, Philip, Arnold, Skelton (5) BR: Hooper, Samu, Valetini, Leota...

I'd love to see Wright at FB, he's got massive upside, unfortunately Banks in the way.....

    Wallabies 2021

Time will tell, but Banks has always been the best available from a very shallow pool of options. Hodge brings plenty of other attributes that Banks lacks, and both have been equally poor under the high ball lately.... IMO due to the big pool of international quality wingers in Vunivalu...
