    Reds 2018

Horwitz was being touted as the No 10 of the future when he was playing for Randwick a couple of years ago. At the time I thought Rohan Saifoloi outplayed him whenever they met. Deegan and McIntyre, and indeed Mason, were all being claimed by many to be prospective Wallabies when they were in...

    Reds 2018

We've had any number of the "next big thing" No 10s in recent years, Horwitz, Deegan, McIntyre and Mason, and none have yet kicked on to fill that spot at Super Rugby level. Stewart had some very uninspiring minutes for the Reds through this year, but I thought his performances at the U20s have improved...

Should be music to all Rebels' fans' ears.

    2017 Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Probably half time was the first opportunity for the coaching staff to modify the game plan to account for how the opposition was playing. Very difficult for young U20s players to read the game with such insight whilst actually playing and to change things on the field. If I'm right, more kudos...

Canberra Vikings - Offical NRC Team Thread

Swain very unlucky to miss the U20s this year. Could be a top level lock in the making. Will probably fill Staniforth's role next year.

    Brumbies 2017

Thanks BJ. So a couple of promising outside backs in George and Andrew Muirhead. Keep them coming.:)

Any news on George Morseu? Assume he's from the JID. What club, and where does he play?

    2017 Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

That just about summarises the whole tournament involvement by the U20s to me. Thanks Moonrat.

I think JB, if you look closely, you might see Izzy Folau holding Foley up off the ground in that shot.;)

    Brumbies 2018

Remember too the turmoil surrounding the Brumbies at the beginning of 2017, and factor in the return of Pocock with hopefully a fit and healthy Lealiifano, some new blood looking after the attack coaching, and 2018 is really starting to look the goods.

    The Wallabies Thread

Not arguing the point at all - I also decry the use of two smaller players in the backrow. I was simply commenting on JB's contention that Hardwick is a lot smaller than McMahon and Hooper. Such is not the case if Rugby.com.au or my eyes are correct.

    Brumbies 2018

Excellent news on both of them. They are quality.

    The Wallabies Thread

JB, the published stats for Hardwick and Hooper don't back up your contention about their relative sizes. Hardwick : 183cm, 102kg; Hooper : 182cm, 101kg. For further comparison, McMahon is listed as 186cm and 100kg. Stats from Rugby.com.au.

    Rebels 2017

Damages? When the club has been subsidised to the tune of tens of millions of dollars in the period it has been privately owned? Perhaps a chance that a refund is due to the ARU?

Australia v Scotland, 3:00pm 17 June Sydney Football Stadium

If I was selecting the team for this week, with an eye on next week as well, I'd go with what I think is the strongest side we can put out. Having regard for his lack of game time, that would mean Sio on the bench. I'd persist with the higher work rate of Ala'alatoa at THP with Kepu to come on...

Wallabies v Fiji, 3pm Sat 10th June, AAMI Park, Melbourne

According to rugby.com.au Hooper has made 66 tackles and missed 15 in the 2017 internationals. I could be wrong, but wasn't yesterday's game the first international this year? Both stats look to be very inflated for one game only. And very light on if they're meant to cover Super Rugby games against...

Been some discussions with Simon Cron I believe? Would be a great addition given the improvements we've seen in the U20s this year.

Will be a shame if Mayhew is lost. Has been very strong for the Brumbies and must be on the radar for higher honours. Suppose he could still play for Wallabies in a while even if he returns temporarily to the Mitre 10 Cup.
