Super Rugby 2017: matches not involving Australian teams

Stephen Donald is somehow the most dangerous attacking player in the Stormers v Chiefs game so far........

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

The crowd at Joburg isn't looking too good either.........

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

Looking at the stats just reinforces what a massive game AAA had......... Topped the tackle count with 19 (3 dominant) and only one missed....... 39 metres off 5 carries and 1 linebreak........ And a strong scrummaging performance......... not bad for a tight head.

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

Going by the crowds everywhere, nobody cares anymore......... The comp needs a serious reboot.

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

The brilliantly scheduled Friday 6pm kickoff.......... Not that the crowd would've been much bigger.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

Hey Scribber, excellent contribution as always but I have a question for you......... How many Wallaby signings does it take to come 14th?

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

    Er, no........... it was not.
  8. Slim 293

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

Yeah, I assumed it was because he got knocked around a bit but the commentators definitely said that he was fine and it was just a straight sub.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

And Fardy was a bit Jekyll and Hyde out there tonight............ He's still the best 6 in the country, but he did a few really dumb things that cost us.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

BR, I mostly agree with you but thought Butler looked alright when he came on for Smiler...........

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

Nah, no arms and contact to the head should always be a card........... It may not have been intentional, but definitely reckless........... It would've been red if he wasn't already being brought down in the tackle.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

I don't understand why they brought off Dargaville for Lilo............. Dargaville was having a blinder......... I would've been much happy to see Hawera off in that second half - he did alright in the first, but he gave away too much ball that we were struggling to get a hold of. Good...

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

You have to be good enough to make the finals first.........
  14. Slim 293

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

That's the game. Good hustle by the Brumbies, but Canes the far better team.

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

How did Speight get away with that?! We should've been playing A Smith at 12 all year.........
  16. Slim 293

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

It was yellow at a minimum........... It has been all year.

World Rugby to trial experimental scrum & ruck Laws

I also think it's one law where there's not a lot of consistency from refs as to whether or not the player is onside when they kick the ball........ It should help to tidy up the breakdown.

World Rugby to trial experimental scrum & ruck Laws

    This, I do like............

    Brumbies v Hurricanes QF - Friday 21 July - 7:35pm

After that I watched the Brumbies finals win against the Stormers in Cape Town from 2 years ago that they were tipped to lose, but piled on the tries with a Joe Tomane triple in the first half........... And it just reminded me of how much Australian rugby misses Ita Vaea.
