I can't agree with Mayhew though..... although he played well Sio was utterly dominant at times during the year, and Alexander too had his best season in a while at LH. Andrew Smith was a real surprise, and I would much prefer him to Godwin at 12.

Is there any data to support how team one or two scored their tries? And how does that compare with how teams three through to eighteen scored their tries?

There's probably a whole bunch of other important factors you've left out there farva.......... TV viewing figures for example, coaching development, and I don't think we can ignore a team's ability to develop test players that have come from interstate......... I'm sure there's more. Also...

Yep........ Super Rugby is a dying brand - people have long stopped giving a toss. But it doesn't mean we can't fix this....... as that Crimes article points out - Raiders crowds have gone up (and they're not going to make the finals), and they were getting beaten by the Brumbies for nearly 20...
