    Shute Shield 2013

I know quite a few life long League fans who tune in to watch the SS regularly who will begrudgingly admit that the 'product' (I hate that word being associated with Rugby at that level but if you talk to a lot of RL fans they do refer to their game as a 'product' a lot) being displayed in the...

    Shute Shield 2013

He'd be busy in pre-season with Suntory. I'd be surprised if he showed. It would be amazing but highly unlikely.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

They have well over 100,000 players. It's supposedly the 2nd biggest sport behind Cricket with the schoolboy scene being particularly big with national coverage, sponsorship etc. I know they were (at least a few years ago) looking to turn the Caltex Cup (the top competition in Sri Lanka, mat be...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Well, you have to see it from there perspective. First Folau chose Rugby over League not because the money was better but because he's actually enjoying himself and now it appears SBW will be returning to Rugby for good because, you know, he actually enjoys playing Rugby as well. Two supreme...

    I'll give it a shot.

    Shute Shield 2013

The difference with most of those it that this is their 2nd or even 3rd year in grade while for a number of the Randwick boy's this is their or their first with regular game time. There are a few good young blokes in the Wicks lineup. Horwitz is the obvious but I really liked the look of Munro...

    Shute Shield 2013

Rohan Saifoli has to be on someone's radar for Super Rugby honours. He's a very good attacking 5/8. It's going to be a good battle between he and Foley next week. I thought Horwitz had a quiet game with flashes of skill and vision but he was operating behind the inferior pack and Souths were pushing up...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Well the Seattle Sounders had a crowd of 67,000 turn out for their rivalry round clash with the Portland Timbers just last week. While they are the biggest club in the MLS most do okay in terms of attendance. Well above the actual quality of the competition. Although, from my understanding it...

    Tier 2 Australian Conference 2014

When did he come out with this? Is there are link? I'd actually prefer 3 teams from Sydney. North (Harbour): Norths, Gordon, Manly and Warringah Sydney: Randwick, Easts, Uni and Souths Western Sydney: Parra, Penrith, Wests and Eastwood. I actually posted a article on The Roar...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

The one and only. I'm actually trying to get in contact with the guys behind it at the moment. One of them is George Robertson who features a few times in the comments. If I'm successful I'll likely be posted something about their plans on The Roar in the near-ish future.

    Rebels 2014

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Bastards. We'll have to pull a Foley on you lot and tempt him back. Good for him. Taking his opportunities when they arise.

    Julian Savea

I thought that he'd already made his decision and will be at the Crusaders in next year Super Rugby tournament.
  14. WorkingClassRugger

    Rebels 2014

It was tongue in cheek. We have a competitive market for talent and its only reasonable that the Rebels look at all there options, I'm just hoping that the Tahs have seen what I have of Horwitz this season and are poised to strike. If not, then its our loss.
  15. WorkingClassRugger

    Rebels 2014

No it's not. He developed in our system and we should have first right of choice.:)

    Rebels 2014

Oi, who's side are you on? Horwitz isn't anything special and the Rebels shouldn't bother looking at him. Oh, and Reid should be let go as he adds absolutely nothing to the Rebels. The Tahs will gladly take them off your hands.
  17. WorkingClassRugger

    Beale to Tahs, where?

I know this could sound a bit presumptuous but it would be terrifying prospect for opposition teams next year. The Tahs will be starting the season playing a high paced, highly skilled game plan, one that many struggled to maintain this season even when they beat them. The only positive was the...

    Shute Shield 2013

The question would be how do you entice the corporates to look to invest in our third tier that and how do you make it an attractive alternative to the Top League. I think you have an interesting concept though.

    Rebels 2014

I don't know. What I've seen of Reid I reckon Fainga'a has a battle on his hands in that respect.

    Rebels 2014

That's what I was going to say to KevinO's comment. He's going pretty well for a 18 year old.
