    Rebels 2018

Ozt, I agree entirely with your point. I was just extrapolating what might happen to Will if, as some have suggested, a whole bunch of ex-Force players follow Wessells to the Rebels, and for the sake of argument including the two No 9s in the equation. Just on that point, I think all of the...

    Rebels 2018

Not out of the realms of possibility that Will might find himself on the bench behind one of Ruru or Lowrens before season 2018 is out.

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

BH, it is apparent from the many posts on these threads that quite a few other posters also hold the view that Coleman/Arnold has been the best locking combination the Wallabies have had over the past twelve months. We express our opinions despite being at odds with Cheika. I really do wonder if...

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

True, but Tui is apparently being schooled as a 6 if the HC is to be believed. And it is flirting with sorrow to play both Tui and Rodda together in the second row if Coleman pulls up injured before the test (as apparently is possible) and Simmons is taken off during the game.

Cheika could have started Arnold and still have had Tui on the bench covering 6/8. Simmons the reserve lock. Easy, peasy. Don't have to be a rocket scientist, just smarter than the average bear (read Cheika).

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

That's a hell of a big call FP, seeing that they are the only three specialist locks now on tour as far as I am aware. Hanigan could also cover, but he is there as a 6 not a lock.

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

Yes, most certainly. If Coleman goes down (and there is a suggestion elsewhere that he's carrying an injury), then Arnold is the logical replacement for him. Too bloody early in Rodda's career to make him the go to hard man.

^^^^^Think you mean Lowrens not Lonergan who plays for the Brumbies.

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

IS, Hawera is only two years off being Wallaby eligible, and having stayed on for the NRC it just might be his ambition. Who, out of the No 10s who have come through the U20s lately will be Wallaby ready in two years time? I am not saying Hawera will be ready, but he just might be the best...

And Stewart played all over McGregor on the weekend.

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

Two issues Derpus. According to commentary at Spirit/City game, Arnold is on his way back to Aus to play NRC. Looks like he'll be a world beater by the end of TRC as he is omitted from all future tests. But on the subject, Richie Arnold is showing excellent form for the Spirit. It would be a...

NRC Rnd 5: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY V MELBOURNE RISING

Stewart I think had the better of McGregor. His all round game is stronger and he has a bit of size about him that allows him to more than hold his own in contact.

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

I thought Rodda did ok in his first start, and Koroibete was very good. Dempsey is a step up on Hanigan, but overall the backrow is still out of kilter. Too many look alike, play alike players for my liking. First game for a couple of years that Sio hasn't been strapped like a race horse...

NRC 2017 Round 5: Canberra Vikings vs Fiji Drua - Friday @7:30pm AEST

You'd have to agree that whatever it is, it is poison to Cheika.

If he can't call lineouts, then I see that as a failure of the coaches. Surely wouldn't take much just to get him up to speed. I see that his twin Richie calls the lineouts at times for the Spirit and he's not been around as long as Rory.

NRC 2017 Round 5: Canberra Vikings vs Fiji Drua - Friday @7:30pm AEST

My thoughts on the game from the front page : Cusack was deservedly MOTM, closely followed by Andrew Muirhead, who ran strongly down the wing all night and didn't flinch in defense when required. Both locks had very strong games as well. As Mr W said, the whole backrow played well as a unit...

Springbokke vs Wallabies @ Osfontein 30/9/2017

Why would anybody drop a player for one less effective game after a string of games where all and sundry were applauding the fact that at last the Wallabies had a world class second row pairing? And Rob Simmons has never had a strong game - it just isn't in his nature. He might have an effective...

As will Tuipolotu v DP and CFS. If the Rising backs can get parity in the midfield, then Tupou and Ratu will carry the day.
