    Brumbies 2011

Hoiles wouldn't be my choice of Brumbies captain - as a captain, you can't abuse the ref, or tell him what to after the event. I thought Hoiles stepped over the line a few times last year and was lucky he wasn't binned by the ref for what he said. I'll happily eat my words if Hoiles' is...

    Brumbies 2011

Regarding To'omua - the Brumbies hardly spotted him before the Reds. The kid chose to join the Brumbies before the Reds after leaving school. To'omua was a schoolboy star for years in Brisbane, and I believe part of Reds wide schoolboy training squads. (Someone correct me if I made a mistake...

    Western Force 2011

Just one more comment about Shepherd - the guy had a suspended license, and obviously drove himself to somewhere where he could drink. Then tried to drive himself home drunk. The whole situation started because he illegally drove to begin with. Stupid on more than one level. Not being able...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

No Frier already? No Cordingley? No Rooney? No Gerrard? Macdonald at 6 is one interesting one.

    Reds 2011

Funny to see that Channel 9 were showing sports people helping with the flood - and only focused on the Broncos (who did less volunteering than the Reds) and cricketers. Not a mention of rugby, AFL or soccer. Nice to see they maintained a balanced view and looked outside the sports they broadcast.

    Western Force 2011

Red Rooster - that incident in Sydney with Shepherd was particularly stupid, and supposed was a driving force in why he left Sydney: to get away from what he'd done. For those who forgot, Shepherd got drunk and was caught jumping up and down on the top of parked cars with some friends.

Sharpe is a hard nosed lock? Since when?

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Of those six players, two are flyhalves and two are opensides. Gives you a hint of where they might see some weakness in their squad. The others are (I guess) an expeienced scrummie, and prop.

    Favorite Players

Still remember my jaw dropping at a back handed flick pass from Zinzan that spiralled and flew about 30m across field and led to a NZ try. Was only 5m or so out from the tryline though when he did it (if my hazy memory is right). Also had a major soft spot for Oliver Magne, loved it when he...

    G&GR Videos

I'll answer it: first link is all videos. Second link is a subset. So technically, they are all in one place: the first link! (That's link, not Link.)

    Reds 2011

Hmmm, not bad, and I say, why not? It happened this year in the Tahs v Reds showdown, where the better team for most of the game lost!

    Reds 2011

By all means, if you want to talk about Cooper at the Reds, and his defence (or lack thereof) do it here. Or how Harris might go, etc. But if you want to post delusional beliefs about how strong you dream that the Tahs team is, then by all means go ahead, but please do it here where you might...

Yup, thanks guys, great stuff. You have given me something important to do at work today.

    Waratahs 2011

Peterson is the guy I expect will push Douglas to the bench, unless the Tahs keep/move Mumm at/to blindside. If I was to pick a long term young TH lock, it'd be Peterson I reckon. We'll see how he develops, though.

JON get off your arse and buy us some Inglis

Pffft, I saw my chance at a cheap shot and took it! Besides, that Number Eight probably spent most of his time in the centres. And whilst it is forwards (not backs, mind you) who know all there is to know about rugby, it's not all forwards that know it... Merry christmas to everyone as well!

JON get off your arse and buy us some Inglis

Cyclo; meh, you're just another back who spent too much time doing their hair instead of getting in amongst the dirty stuff. And see where too much playing with your hair has gotten you today!

Arvo test for Wallabies in 2011

I'm late for this one, but North Sydney Oval is a pile of dog turd to watch a game which uses a rectangular field. The damn (tiny) grandstand is at an angle to the field. One of my most hated grounds - it was bad enough having to go back to it during the ARC. You're better off using nice...

    Aus siblings

Who's the other Giteau? There was A. Fainga'a and S. Fainga'a... I was pretty sure on the other set of siblings, but when I checked on Wikipedia it said that Justin Bieber didn't play for the Wallabies this year, little do I know. Pretty sure some others are brothers (or something) in law...

The best XV of players from any school

Continuing on from previous BSHS players mentioned, I'll have a crack at a BSHS team. A lot of the positions sadly overlap and others are a bit bare. I spent a little time researching this as well, yes I cheated a little bit... 1. (no clue) 2. David Paice 3. Paul Amo-Emile (no idea on...

World Test XV 2010 - Blindside Flanker

Hard to split Elsom and Juan Smith? Really? More like, hard to split Juan Smith and Jerome Kaino.
