    G&GR GRASSROOTS RUGBY THINK TANK

Then you don't know much about the current landscape in Schoolboy Rugby. Augustines had a 40+ win against Scots this year, with a similiar win over waverley. Oakhill were beaten by Joeys, but I believe won against Barker who dominated their competition. Just because a School plays in the GPS or...

    Shute Shield 2012

I don't believe that any SS Club has a sponsor involved purely foron commercial reasons. What would a jersey sponsor pay for the right? What is it's economic value? In many SS games, the crowd is little more than lower graders, wives, girlfriends and family. That is the commercial reality of...

sighted a couple of years ago, They will have at least 3 ex Augs kids in their 1's next year.Scots seem to be very active on the northern beaches as well, there would be 1/2 dozen Augs kids that have since moved to Scots.

    Waratah Cup & Shield 2012

I think the only 16's player to get a run yesterday was Walker. It was a completeley different backline yesterday, they used a different 9,10,12,13 & 15. The 12 & 15 playing 9 & 10 in the last game against Oakhill. In respect to attitudes, my understanding is that after the Oakhill loss, some...

Who would have thought Auggies would be underdogs in this game at the start of the year? I thought Oakhill looked a 20 point better side than Auggies in the semi's. But I am picking that Auggies have more than a 20 point improvement in them.

Really? Thought you were better than that. Obviously not. Don't call me Son,unless you are going to give me pocket money each week, and buy me a new car.

Go back over the threads Champ, there was more than one rabid supporter defending the undefendable. What qualifier should have I used, some or most supporters?Bearing in mind very few if any actually criticised him, which can be argued as tacit support. But moving along....

Actually, he is the example. people have vociferously defended him no matter the circumstances. Remember the Test against England? He missed 9 of 11 tackle attempts, yet still had the unquestioning support of the Reds followers.I won't even bother talking about some of the unsavoury incidents...

How many unforced changes? He brings in QC (Quade Cooper) and moves BB to 12, which is exactly what his detractors were screaming for.And he drops KB (Kurtley Beale) (which no one has disagreed with)

These types of worshipping of QC (Quade Cooper) shit me. If he succeeds it's totally due to his ability. If he fails it is all down to RD. Remember, why are the kiwi's baying for his blood? Did RD talk him up last year,or did QC (Quade Cooper) do all that by himself? Let's hope QC (Quade Cooper) has a blinder, but if he has a shocker let's...

It's really just an issue for the particular side he is playing for. Would they prefer to play with their mates who got them to where they are, or do they prefer to play with a "drop in" and increase their winning chances. But I think the playing group should have a say in the matter. He is...

So they didn't dominate the scrum, the lineout, the score or yardage gained, but an unquoted stat on % over ad line might prove your point? All I have been saying is that the statistics do not back up these statements of total domination of our pack. It appears to me that most peoples...

By what measure? The score? The yardage gained? Turnovers won? Lineouts or scrums won? Don't give me the vibe, that only works for a marginal win. If they were as dominant as you say it would scream out in all the stats of the match. The AB's have dropped more ball in bigger wins in the past.

Never had the upper hand is closer to the truth. How many free flowing bled cup matches do you see? Moan that we chose to field a team that could only stay close. But to say they didn't stay close is well, wrong.

Really? Take away KB (Kurtley Beale)'s 2 brainfarts in defence (12 points). I'm not suggesting that the Wobs pack dominated, but it was not as bad as some are suggesting.
