    Brumbies vs Waratahs - 2011R06

They have no coverage for him in their named squad, so they'd either revert to a 5/2 bench split or grab someone from outside the squad. If he doesn't start then, god, I hate the Tahs. To cap it off, they will have fucked my Fantasy Rugby team, and, it's not like it currently needs extra...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Transfers also in and done. Got sick of waiting on the Tahs and used up my final one. Anyway, I doubt that it's Schmoo who is in doubt as the Tahs have a 24-man squad, with the extras being Waugh and TPN, not back cover for Schmoo. Here's my losers for this week: Janse van Rensburg, Myth...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Reckon Vito could be a good pickup as he'll give the Rebels a torrid time. Waldrom also might be worth some consideration. The other transfer I was considering was Wynard Olivier for the (injured) Duck. Olivier could get some decent points vs the Lions midfield, especially as Waylon Murray...

    Hickey's future

Oh, and work on a plan B for slow ball. Too much slow ball and Barnes goes into his kicking shell. They need to work on using slow ball (like a piggie or Carter hit up off a flat Barnes), and keeping Barnes out of a deep pocket once he falls back there once or twice. Once your ball is slow...

    Hickey's future

The Tahs have owned the breakdown vs two teams who did not field real traditional fetchers: the Reds and Rebels. Todd (Crusaders) and Brussow (Cheetahs) who are more traditional fetchers caused a lot of havoc at the breakdown against the Tahs. Regarding the Reds, it really shows just how...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

A good pick up might be Julian Savea from the Canes. He's more a 5/8 (I think?) but he's one the wing this week v the Rebels. He's a $72k inside back, if you need a cheapy...like I do. I am sweating on Schmoo right now - if Schmoo is playing, then I am swapping Uys for Savea and pushing my...

    Reds vs Cheetahs - 2011R06

From the Reds Member's Bar you mean? Nope. If I recall correctly, you need to walk up a few stairs to get out onto the stadium. But it is wonderfully air conditioned...and on the complete opposite side of the ground from where all the Ruby Members sit! In the Force game, it was a freaking...

Matt Burke's article in the SMH on the Waratahs

Geez, someone needs to get Burke a PR guy ASAP. First the team pisses off supporters by putting in a really poor effort. At least a close game vs the Cheetahs they probably wouldn't have been booed, but 23 - 3 is well beaten. Then Burke steps up and attacks the fans who paid for that shit...

    Reds vs Cheetahs - 2011R06

Depends on the coach. I believe that was a Rassie Erasmus planned move, so we'll see if a different Cheetahs coach takes the same option.

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Need to decide tomorrow morning if I should use my wild card or not. If not, I am facing lining up with a shit shit team this week. Here we go, for example: McIntosh (to be subbed for someone - sub 1), Myth, (Weeks) Fancois Louw, Steven Sykes, (O'Neill) Kaino, Salvi, Saffy, (Thomson - bye)...

    Rebels vs Hurricanes - 2011R06

We'll see how Kingi goes at fullback. I have my reservations. Has he played there in the Brisbane club comp before? Fullback is rather a specialised position - it's easy to be caught out of position, and requires some skill to inject yourself in the play at the right time. I think that a...

Gah. Oops. Fullback even. You know what I meant! Right? Where's that edit button?! Mumble.

Podcast 12 ft. Kev Horwill HAPPENING NOW

Massive props for getting Horwill as a guest, was a good listen. I guess RugbyReg's time at the Reds has given you guys some contacts? Link might also be a possible guest, given his appearances on Rugby Matrix (or whatever that podcast was called)?

    Rebels vs Hurricanes - 2011R06

Isn't anyone else concerned that they have 3 outside backs on their reserve bench, a halfback playing 15, and no 12 in the entire 22?

    Tom Carter

I think this hits the nail on the head. The second playmaker the Tahs seem to use is Beale, but I think that either Carter or Horne will need to step up their abilities in that regard. Carter so far has struggled to set up his outside man and I would've thought that Horne looks more the man...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Yeah, I will be buying Beau this week, to replace Salvi at this stage. I think I will be forced to use my wildcard due to the Clan's bye and Lambie's and the Duck's (I think he'll be out?) injuries. The Duck being injured early also helped to fuck up my points for the weekend.

    Brumbies vs Waratahs - 2011R06

Why move their best back? Not sure that McCabe will be ideally suited to 13 for them anyway, and I don't particularly rate AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as a 15 either. I prefer AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) on the wing to 15 I think. The problems at the Brumbies are highlighted that they are sticking with a failed Gits at 10. And by the...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

I am scared to even look at my team this week. Beale for Carter is a legendary bad call on my part to go with bringing in MacIntosh and bringing in Schmoo as my captain.

    Cheetahs vs Waratahs - 2011R05

Yeah agree that the Cheetahs did well. They played their brand of rugby and the Tahs couldn't rise above it. Brussouw deserved MOTM if he got it. Cheetahs v Reds next week shapes up as an interesting game.

    Cheetahs vs Waratahs - 2011R05

Mumm at capt is pretty I think, especially when his form hasn't been too good to begin with. Who else do they have though that's a senior leadership type player? Alexander might be a future capt, and maybe Barnes but that was one of the reasons he left the Reds. Maybe Mowen would be my pick.
