AIG are trying to organise the AB's to play a game there next year. More than likely on the West Coast and hopefully against a NA All Stars team. Though I agree. We really shold look to make it a stop over on the way to Europe in the future or on our way back.

Union or League? The pros and cons for school leavers

Defence in League has seriously declined in the past decade or so. Not just in terms of tackling but in patterns. A good example is the current RLWC. A RL fan was gloating about the amount of tries scored in some of the games in the WC so far. In one game there 10 or 11 scored. That's not a...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

I've got to say the results against the likes of Poland and Sri Lanka are surprising. I know the Polish squad isn't their strongest but considering the level they play at in the ENC structures, I'd have had them winning that game. The Sri Lanka result suggests that the Asia and Africa...

The Eagles vs Moari game is effectively sold out as well. Only 300 tickets were left a few days. Both Unions are beginning to be able to sell Tests more and more regularly.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Perhaps they could look to run a full rep season alongside club rugby in the U16 bracket. Club on Saturday and reps on Sunday. That way those who participate still get to play a full club season and a full rep season alongside.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

How many membersdid the Tahs get to last season. I know they either topped or got very near the 20,000 mark.

    Reds 2014

He looks like he could be a good prospect. He's appeared to be more of a footballer than Nemani who used his size as his main weapon. He doesn't look quite as big but I actually that has helped develop his game. I've only seen his highlights, are there any deficiencies in his game?

    Shute Shield 2014

Canberra also have Mounties as their feeder club in the NSW Cup. Most if not all of the NSW NRL clubs run teams either under their banner or under subsidary clubs.

    Reds 2014

Evidently, and I hope someone can clear this up, he's the brother of Nemani Nadolo (Ratu Nasiyangavi) and cousin to Tevita. From his highlights he looks good in contact, has really good strength and a offloading game to match. Good pick up by the Reds.

    Rebels 2014

I think we'll have quite a strong conference this season. The Tahs are working hard as Chieks has the whip out early. The Brumbies should continue along the lines of this year even without White, the Force if they discover what backline play is will be good and the Rebels have recruited very...

Wasn't Lahiff more known for his work around the pitch than in the scrum?

    Shute Shield 2014

I don't think it's a terrible idea. It's a very neglected region even in comparison to others. Especially when you consider the swathes of talent that emerges from here in other sports.

    Waratahs 2014

There some incentive to work hard at training going from the pic of Foley in the new jersey.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

"With league being such a structured game these days, it sucks for bigger guys. If you're a front rower you just hit the ball up, man, you do what the halves tell you, man, run there, don't f...... run a metre either side of that line. That's how much the game's changed. When I first started it...

Wasn't their gripe regarding the ARC about not being involved and wanting a national clubchampionship instead? Now they have the opportunity some are trying to scuttle what they wanted in 2007. This is bloody ridiculous. We should just go with a 6 team competition based around the current Super Rugby...

    Rebels 2014

West is a talent. There's no doubting that and would be a good pick up. However, why are they looking East when there's a bloke who has been running around in the Shute Shield. Effectively dominating his position that could take that spot. SEriously, what does Rohan Saifoli need to do?

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

I'd like to think that they'd look to rationalise before outright scrapping something like this. Some centre may prove viable while others may not, they may choose to close one and move it to another location or not at all. I think 24 centres is quite a lofty goal. If they decide to say, move...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

My question is simple. How would this provide an increased level of competition needed to help develop the talent required to provide Super Rugby ready talent? I get your point of view but this would and should be just as much about providing a high quality, highly competitive competition. I cannot see...

Doesn't the article say, that they could charge a licencing fee not that they absolutely will be chargin a fee. I could be wrong. If that was the case then, I'd suggest that most should go into facilities hire, and travel/accommodation costs. I'd prefer it if the ARU set a criteria to be met...
